Soleis
I walk over to her, mentally taking notes about her appearance. Blue hair, green eyes, fair skinned, tall. She had this glimmer in her eyes that I took as "wow ok I'm actually doing this". I had decided to wear a skirt and cropped tank top, with my trusty white slip-on converse. She was pretty, and I'm not afraid to admit. I tucked away my phone into my purse and smiled up at her. I extended my hand. "Hi. I'm Soleis. Nice to officially meet you." Aries extended her hand to meet mine.
"Hi. . . I'm Aries." She blushes a little and I notice she has an American accent. I smile and my face takes on a little colour.
"Ok, that's good, I'm not talking to a random person, then. Well, I am, but. . . You know what I mean." I kind of stuttered. . . PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER, SOLEIS OMG
She waved a hand in front of my face.
"Soleis?" I snapped back to reality and blushed hard. Great, I've only been talking to her for a couple of seconds and I'm already zoning out. I just seem so rude through her eyes. . .
"Sorry," I internally slap myself. "I do that sometimes. . . Usually when I'm nervous. . ." She smirked and I knew what she was thinking, Wow. She acts like she's never been on a date before! Which, as a matter of a fact, I haven't really. Well, not if you count that whole Raymond thing a date.
I tried to hide my blush by looking down. "So, do you wanna go find a book? Like, is there something specific you're here for?"
"Well. . . I like photography."
"Really? That's what I major in." I grinned. So far this was going well, I guess. We already have a common interest!! I pulled my camera out of my purse. "I never leave home without it." She takes out a pale blue Polaroid camera.
"This is the one I use for memories and stuff."
I grin. "Okay, so I'm not weird for taking it everywhere. That's good to know."
"Well, you might be a weirdo, but so am I."
"That's good to know." I laugh and start walking. "I need to go find a book, so if you want to come you can, but I'm very odd when it comes to bookstores. I have this weird thing I do. . . Just, leave now if you don't want to be scarred for life." She laughed again.
"I can handle it."
"Okay, if you say so." I start walking towards the young adult section, and locate the book I want. I scan the shelves for signed copies, as this store is known for having them. I find one and squeal. "Yes!!" I pick it up and open the cover to see the signature. "Finally! I've been wanting this forever, and it's signed!!" I turn towards her and whisper "it's signed," I point to the signature "LOOK!"
"Oh my gosh, really?! It's so. . . Pretty!" I look at her eyes and noticed they lit up.
"Do you read this series?" I point to the cover.
"Of course!"
I mentally scream but keep my composure. SHE READS THE SAME STUFF I DO, SOLEIS THIS IS HAPPENING.
