Soleis
As Aries closes the door, Pixie faces me, a sympathetic expression on her face. "I'm sorry. It seems I have a knack for ruining your dates." I shake my head.
"It's fine, Pix. Just. . . I really like her. . . And I feel like she's super scared of this, and she doesn't want to pursue anything." Pixie walks up to me and hugs me tight.
"Don't be worried, Soleis. It's all okay. Everything will work out."I sigh and step away from her, making my way over to the couch. She follows me, and I watch a smirk form on her face.
"So . . . That's her? She's your soulmate?" I frown. Wasn't it obvious? I had already been through this once, so it seems like this is the final straw.
"Yeah, why?" Her smirk grows larger.
"I don't know. . . Tell me about her. What's she like?" I blush and turn away, a million scenarios dancing in my head about us together. Me and her having a family, us fighting, her leaving me. . . I couldn't take it, so I turned to Pixie and said what I honestly thought about her."I think that she's amazing. She's so beautiful and sensitive and there's so much more I don't know about her and I think I love her." Pixie sits there, her smirk turned to a genuine smile.
"That's great, Soleis. That's really great. I wish that I had that. . ." She looks down at her wrists, and sighs at the names. Joshua and Brady scrawl across her wrists in the darkest black. I take one of her hands and rub the name Brady.
"I feel like he's the one." She smiles and nods.
"Me too."I stand up and stretch. "I'm going to bed." Pixie stands up and follows in suite.
"Night, Soleis."
"Night, Pixie." I walk into my room and flop onto my bed, grabbing my phone. I click it on to see a text from Aries.Hey, I had fun. Maybe soon we can get together again?
I smile and respond.
Definitely. When works for you? I have a class on Thursday, but otherwise I'm free.
Well, I got into the photography program I wanted to, so maybe we could go somewhere tomorrow evening after the class to celebrate?
Congrats! And sure. Where do you want to meet?
Well, there's a bagel place not too far from there. . .
You and your bagels. . . Sure. Works for me.
Awsome! And yes. . . I think I have a bagel obsession.
I have a donut obsession, it's fine.
So, I'll see you tomorrow?
Definitely. What time should we meet?
Well, my photography class ends at 4, so maybe 4:30?
Works for me. See you then.
Bye Soleis.
Bye Aries <3
<3
I grin at the heart and turn off my phone, excited for tomorrow. We've been having dates every day now for two days, and tomorrow will make that three. I stand up and walk over to my desk, thinking that some schoolwork would be beneficial.
I open up my most recent assignment and start working, humming my concerto as I go. I stop for a second and realize that now that I've played the song for Aries, it means something more to me. I stand up quickly and grab my violin, staring at the strings. I've played on this for Aries. . . I wonder if she'll ever want to hear more?
I sigh and start working again, finishing a paper for my class on Thursday.
