Aries
I stood outside the building and checked my watch. Again. Blake was now officially ten minutes late from when he was supposed to pick me up.
Don't be so hard on him, I think. I glance at my phone again and look at the picture of him I took earlier. Should I make it my background? Or is that creepy?
I decided to make it my home screen background so that no one would see it except me. I open my messages app and quickly text him.
'Hey. The meeting seemed to go well.' The three dots that signalled he was texting me back appeared and I smiled. He's probably going to tell me he's on his way. Then they disappeared and I frowned at it in confusion.
A minute later I got a text.
'Hey, I got called into work (if I didn't go, I would get fired) so I can't pick you up. D: '
'That's fine, I guess. I'll just call a taxi or something. . . '
'Thanks for being so understanding, Soulsign <3'
'Soulsign?'
'Yeah, like Soulmate/zodiac sign? As a pet name or something. . . Is that ok if I call you that? '
'Sure :D '
I grinned and made an odd squeaking sound that definitely wasn't human. But it doesn't matter, he has a pet name for me! Soulsign. It's pretty and creative. I always thought I would hate pet names, most are way too overused, and babe just sounds creepy. But Soulsign is unique. It relates to me and only me and shows that I'm his soulmate at the same time. Who could ask for a better soulmate, or a better boyfriend?
I stand by the curb, waiting for a Bus. It's weird that he couldn't pick me up, but I don't really mind, the nickname makes up for it.
I keep chanting it in my head; Soulsign, Soulsign, as the bus pulls up and I board.
