Arthur and Alfred calmly drove to the location Alfred wanted to take Arthur. Alfred hummed along to stupid songs on the radio as Arthur smiled at him.

"God, songs on the radio are the bloody same," Arthur groaned, clicking off the radio. "They're so sexual all the time, and aren't even important or true to the heart!"
"Maybe sex is what's true to their heart?"
"Alfred!"

Alfred chuckled as Arthur's jaw hung agape, Alfred laughed harder at Arthur's face.

"Sorry Artie, I might not be wrong though. You don't know."
"That's quite true."
"I don't like the radio."
"You know neither do I." Arthur chuckled.

"So where are we going anyway?" Arthur asked, looking around the area whilst Alfred checked his phone. Don't text and drive.
"We're almost there don't worry."

Arthur looked out the window, "The stars are actually out tonight.."
"And it isn't raining." Alfred noted.
"How gorgeous, and rare too. Alfred it's such a pretty night tonight!"

Alfred nodded his head and suddenly the car came to a stop. Arthur looked around with a sudden confusion.
"Alfred..?"
"Yeah?"
"Where are we?"
"You'll see!"

Alfred hopped out of the car and Arthur reluctantly followed.
"Alfred where are we going?" Arthur asked Alfred, they joined hands.
Alfred stayed silent while taking Arthur to where he wanted to take him.

"Alright, here we are."

Arthur looked around quizzically, Alfred smiling.
"Alfred where are we? Can you explain?"

It was a park, it looked really familiar to Arthur, but he didn't know why. It had a little kid's playground and a large field of grass. The sun was setting, filling the sky with red's and pink's and purple's.

"Look familiar?"
"A little... I'm not sure where though.."

Arthur led Alfred to an unfamiliar place for Alfred. He couldn't stop smiling as he brought the other there.

"Arthur what is this place?"
"It's a park!"
"No really."

Arthur snickered but maintained a straight face as he looked at Alfred.
"So this is your idea of a date idea?"

Arthur blushed, "I didn't say I was bringing you on a date.. We aren't even d-dating.."

Alfred smiled lightly at Arthur's blushing cheeks and chuckled at his comment.
"Alright so what is this then? Why did you bring me here?

"Because...it can be a date if you want you bloody git."

Alfred chuckled once more, ruffling Arthur's hair. "Awh you're so adorable. But I'm glad you brought us here, I've been meaning to do something."

"What?"

Alfred looked around before looking at Arthur. "You gotta promise to keep this a secret okay?"

Arthur nods.

"Come closer," Alfred beckoned, Arthur's face getting closer to Alfred's.
"Closer.."
"Alfred I am close," Arthur yelled in a hushed voice.

Alfred cupped Arthur's cheek and pulled Arthur closer to him, wrapping his arms around his waist before slowly leaning down, Arthur and Alfred's lips met in pure happiness.
Alfred and Arthur's hands entangled in each other's hair, yanking them closer. The months of tension had finally been released.

When they pulled away Alfred and Arthur stared at each other, shocked by their actions.
"I didn't mean to-" Arthur started, Alfred cut him off with another kiss.
"Arthur I really like you, and I want you to be mine. Please, be my boyfriend?"

Arthur looked extremely shocked now, staring at Alfred, little tears welled up. He hugged Alfred tightly again, he couldn't stop smiling.
"Of course Alfred!"

Alfred smiled, kissing Arthur again, Arthur mumbled in between kisses, "I thought you'd never ask.~"

"Oh my gosh, this is the place?"
"Exact spot, right here."
"That explains the fairy lights."
"Yeah!"

Arthur looked around and he couldn't help but smile.
"You're so sweet."

Alfred blushed a bit, smiling. "The best for the best."
"I love you Arthur, you know that right?"
"Of course," Arthur kissed his partners cheek.

Alfred's mind raced and he quickly kissed Arthur.
"I love you too Alfred."
"You're my forever and always. My everything," Alfred rambled on.

Arthur began to grow confused, why was Alfred saying all of this now? It made no sense, sure he was cheesy like this all the time but still. It's extremely unexpected right now.

"Well, yes I know this. Alfred why are you suddenly saying all of this?"

Alfred looked around and smiled back at Arthur.

"Arthur I need something of you."
"What is it?" Arthur asked worriedly.

Alfred gripped his coat pocket, taking a shaky breath. But, he had to.

"Arthur I'm severely in love with you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You're the best person to ever happen to me and I couldn't bare ever loosing you. You saved me, pretty much. Your mom explained some concept to me. You, Arthur you. You're my forever and always. I always have to be with you and if I'm not I'm so...distressed..."

Alfred's voice shook as he spoke, he was fumbling with something in his pocket. He had taken Arthur's hands into his own, a nervous smile on his face. Arthur didn't know what was really happening, all he knew is it was making him emotional, he had a couple tears welling up.

Then, Alfred got what he wanted out of his pocket, but kept it hidden. He suddenly—but slowly—got down on one knee, Arthur let out an exasperated gasp.
"Alfred?!"

"....Arthur I lost you once, I don't ever want to loose you again okay? And I really couldn't think of another way but to do this! Artie, I never want to hurt you, all I want to do is love you. I promise I'll be good to you, not too arrogant or anything like that. Just please, all of this put aside, the real thing I'm trying to get out of this is.. Well, will you marry me?"

Alfred pulled out a black little velvet box, opening it. Inside was a ring, an engagement ring. Alfred's worried smile wore away into a subtle smirk as Arthur began to cry.

"Alfred! Oh m-my God! Yes, of course I'll marry you!"

Alfred relievedly sighed, fumbling with the ring before slipping it onto Arthur's finger, getting up before being tackled playfully by Arthur, kissing him happily.

Alfred smiled, wrapping his arms around Arthur's waist, pulling him closer. He sat up and leaned against a tree, Arthur stopped kissing Alfred and they just embraced under the tree.

"Alfred, I love you more than words that can describe." He smiled genuinely, Alfred blushed.
"I love you too Artie, I'll always love ya."

Arthur kissed Alfred aggressively and roughly, tracing circles around Alfred's chest.
"Now, let's go somewhere more...private."
"I made sure to get us a nice hotel if you wanna go~" Alfred whispered into Arthur's ear, causing Arthur to shiver and bite at his lower lip.
"Okay, let's go."
