Alfred's POV
I snickered as I looked at her, so cute while she's sleeping. So adorable the way her body lied next to mine. I love her so much, just Arthur can't find out about her. That'd be awkward and bad.
I got the fucking puppy. Arthur was sleeping in the bedroom while I lied on the couch with the new puppy. I didn't know what her name was going to be, maybe Arthur will name her, because I'll be dead. He's going to kill me, but she's a little Chocolate Lab puppy! I couldn't say no!
Alfred drove to the location that was written into the ad, he smiled, turning down a suburban neighborhood, looking at the addresses on the beautiful houses before finding the correct address.
"And we're here," he mumbled to himself, turning off his car and getting out of it. People who were outside their houses looked at Alfred and his car, some jaws dropped.
Alfred was assuring himself that it didn't matter because they were all rich probably. Probably.
He knocked on the door and heard nothing but a bunch of barking and a woman's voice shushing them. She opened the door and her eyes widened, looking Alfred up and down. She smiled at Alfred and extended her hand.
"Hello, I'm Eliza. You're here about the dogs?"Alfred nodded, the young woman stepped out of the way so Alfred could enter the house, which he did.
"It's a very nice house you have here m'am," Alfred smiled, running his hands across the keys of a supposed Victorian piano. It was tuned nicely and sounded elegant. Sheet music scattered across the top of the piano.
"Oh I'm sorry about the mess. My husband could be quite messy with his work at times.."
Alfred nodded once more, remaining silent.
"So you would like to meet the puppies?"
"That would be nice, yes."She nodded and led Alfred to the backyard of the home, the puppies were running around and chasing each other.
"There are eight left, four have already been bought. I'll leave you be so you can bond with them, do you live alone?"
"Oh, no. I live with another guy."
"Mm, that's nice."
"Yeah."
"So there's no woman in your life then?"
"Why do you ask?"
"I'm married sir, flirt with me and I'll happily hit you with a frying pan. Anyways there are different dogs with different temperaments, some are better with families and without families. So do you plan on starting a family any time soon?"Alfred thought for a moment, thinking of a dogs lifespan and things.
"Yes, I do."
"I thought you were single sir?"Alfred laughed bitterly, the thought of being single taunting him.
"No. I didn't say I was single, I said I wasn't in a relationship with a female. I'm Alfred by the way," Alfred winked at the young lady, catching her in his charming ways. Her eyebrows knitted in confusion."So you're...gay."
"Bisexual, there's some difference. But I am in a relationship with a man, yes."
"That's very sweet," she swooned.Alfred watched the dogs run around, he spotted one dog in particular, he looked at the dog.
The puppy was sitting in front of him, yearning for his attention anyway."Oh hello there!" Alfred smiled, bending down to pet the dog.
"Why's it brown? All the other pups are blonde.."
"Oh, we call her Dreckig, it means dirty in German. It was Roderich's idea.. You don't have to stick with it, especially since it isn't English.." She giggled a small bit and pet behind the happy puppy's ears, she flipped over, begging to rubbed on the stomach."Why yes, it's a nice name actually. Dirty." Alfred joked, scooping the dog up, it proceeded to lick his face, knocking his glasses off his face.
"...And I'm blind."Eliza picked up Alfred's glasses and handed them to him. "Thank you," Alfred smiled, slipping them on, his eyes quickly adjusted to the sight again.
"She seems to like you," Eliza cooed, scratching the small dogs head. She barked a small bit.
"Yes, it seems that way doesn't it?"
"Do you want her?"
"She seems very temperamental like you were speaking about, I do like her personality. So yes, I'll buy this one."
"No buying! You just take her."
"You need the money for the dog, I'm not gonna be a dog-napper."
"Funny words. Take her."
"No."
"Yes."
"No, I'm buying the dog."
"I'll hit you with a frying pan."
"....I owe you money."
"You owe me a picture of a healthy dog in a good home Mr. Alfred."
"Please, just call me Alfred, but fine. I'll take her. Thank you, by the way."
"It's nothing, I promise."Alfred smiled and exited the backyard and went into the house once again, Eliza joined him.
"Have a good day Alfred, take care of this one." She scratched the dogs head one more time and the puppy licked her cheek.
"You too Miss. Eliza, have fun with the puppies!" Alfred smiled, exiting the house, the door closed softly behind him.Alfred let the squirming dog down, she ran around the yard a bit before sniffing out Alfred's car.
"Alfred? What the bloody hell is that?"
Arthur had walked into the living room area while I fell asleep with the dog in my arms.
"Oh..hi Arthur," I yawned, wiping my eyes, the puppy sleeping soundly next to me.
"Alfred what the hell? Did you get a fucking dog?"
"Hm? Yeah I did, what do you want to name her?"
"Alfred! Jesus I told you we couldn't get the dog!"
"But look at how cute she is!"I got up and picked up the dog, pushing her into Arthur's chest, smiling.
The puppy yawned and looked up at Arthur, licking his face, Arthur still wore a grimace.
"Alfred give it back to where you got it!"
"No! She's adorable and I love her."Arthur rolled his eyes, "You're unbelievable."
"It's me or the dog."
"What the hell? What type of question is that I choose you."
"Then I'm keeping the dog."Arthur rolled his eyes, petting the dog. The dog whined and kicked, I handed her over to Arthur, smiling. Arthur pet her some more, he even cracked a smile.
"Okay she is pretty cute.."
"We need to name her."
"I have no clue.."
"Well looks like we'll need some help.."Author's Note: Help me name the doggie!!! Leave a name or two or three or a lot in the comments belowwwwwww
