PROJECT DAWN : THE AFTERMATH

Renee is wondering what took them so long so she decide to catch up with them. Then, after she saw John and Jake, along with a few new faces. But there's one face she always remembered...

Renee : Karl....?

Karl heard someone is calling him and he saw Renee appeared behind Jake.

Karl : Renee? Is that you?

She is so happy to be reunite with her brother after quiet some time. She runs past Jake and chase after Karl. She hugs him tight and so does Karl.

Karl : Are you alright? [looking for her injuries] Was there any problem while I'm out there?
Renee : I'm fine, Karl.
Jake : Well, she never told me she has a brother.
John : Well, you now know.
Lena : Jake! Dad! 
John : C'me here, sweetheart.

Lena hugs his father too and the atmosphere is warming up with love of families that come together as one after some time. But then, Ray is noticing that Lars doesn't seem quiet happy.

Ray : Hey, Lars. What's up buddy?
Lars : It's nothing, really.
Ray : There must be something.
Lars : They lost everything but their own family, Ray. They lost their mother, father, some of them lost their siblings but I...I have everything. Haven't see my mother for the last twenty years. 
Ray : Why?
Lars : She's in London. And because of me, they've lost everything. If I knew that the president would do something as mad as this....
Ray : Hey, chill. I lost my parents too. Red, Ghost, Devil. I lost them too. Doc is the only one I had. But that doesn't stop me from living my life. So do they.

They gathered around the camp and Lena unpack her bag. Foods and drinks that she brought from Haven and she give it to the children. They can see the happy face that the children shown and moved by it. It's a cruel world they lived in. But, for the children, it just another world to see. They lost their parents when they were so young and probably couldn't remembered it. For them, Renee is their big sister and motherly figure. After the supper, Renee put the children back to their camp and put them to sleep. 

Renee : Alright there. Who want a goodnight kiss from big sis?
ALL : Me!
Renee : Teehee. Come here, Fred. You first. [kiss forehead]. 

She kisses them goodnight and every one of them sleep soundly and good. She wipes the tear that came out from her left eye cause it just too much for them to handle. She went out of the tent and went straight to where the rest of others that are relaxing, the bonfire. The group are sitting in a circle and John poke the bonfire with a stick to move a few burnt logs.

John : Are they sleeping yet?
Renee : Yeah. 
John : You can go to sleep if you wanted too. Ray is taking up the patrol tonight.
Renee : Nah, I'm good.
Lena : So, Renee. Are you the one that made a distress call?
Renee : Yeah. The wanderers raided us and we're running low on food. But thanks to you, they slept without thinking of hungry. 
Lena : Glad to hear it.
Renee : Actually, the reason I made the call was trying to ask you and the people of Haven to accept us as one of you.
Lena : I'm not the one with the power, Renee.
Renee : I know, and I thought of going there alone but I can't just leave them alone. We need a new place to live.
Jake : Anyway, where's Karl and Lars?
John : They were at the armory room. Doing some check-ups. Plus, it's already late, so I'm going to sleep.
Lena : Me too. See you tomorrow morning, guys.

They left only Renee and Jake alone. It's kind of awkward for Jake but when he look at Renee, she stares emptily at the bonfire. Jake slowly move his position and try to approach Renee without any weird sudden move. Finally, he sits beside.

Jake : It's a starry night, huh?
Renee : ....
Jake : I'm sorry for what I did earlier today.
Renee : It's okay....
Jake : Your eyes are catching me. It's a perfect pair of blue eyes.
Renee : It was my first time.
Jake : Hm?
Renee : You took my first kiss. I never kissed anyone in my life before. I mean, the lips. 
Jake : Here.
Renee : [turn] Hmm?

He kiss her lips with affection and they embrace it under a starry night and coincidentally a shooting star passing by.

Then, she lie on his shoulder for comfort that she's been longing ever since. Far from the camp, John and Lena watched everything as it goes by.

Lena : Jake's a grown man.
John : It's kinda remind of me of your mother when we were dating at highschool.
Lena : She must be watching from the star.
John : She always will watching over us, girl. Always.
Lena : [hugs John and teary] I miss her so much, dad.
John : I miss her too.

Back in the armory where Lars and Karl were checking up gears, they discussed about the government's next plan. Wondering what they would do next and when. 

Karl : I guess this is not enough to stop Tyler.
Lars : Yeah. We really need a lot of manpower here.
Karl : Wonder what he's gonna do next.
Lars : Let's not hope for the worst.

BACK TO THE PRESIDENT TYLER.....

The president looking out of the chopper's window after finished his dinner. He's looking down on a town and smile. 

Dave : Mr. President, how do we suppose to find them?
President : We won't. But they will look for us after this.

The soldiers descend from the chopper and start to fire toward the patrols. The chopper landed and the president step out of it. He bites an apple from his hand and look at the town sign.

President : Haven. The town of hope. Hmph [chewing]. Kill them all.
