I had completely lost track of what city we were in. My mom and I had been on tour with One Direction now for a couple months and it has been a life changing experience so far. I had become so close with many people here and I was happy I got to spend so much time with my mom. She was doing so well and her strength inspired me. Everybody loved her too, especially Niall who could eat more than anybody else I had ever seen.
Speaking of the boys…Harry. Ever since the night of the party, I’ve been trying to avoid him. I wasn’t doing it to be mean but I didn’t think I’d be able to handle seeing him with the blonde girl again. I hadn’t expected to be so affected by them and it definitely surprised me. But I hadn’t seen her around behind the scenes since then and I hadn’t seen any more pictures of them online. Thank God.
I also had a hard time figuring out my feelings for him. He made me feel so strong at times, but at the same time, so weak. He had so much control over my emotions already and that scared me.
Our bus pulled into a hotel parking lot and I was a little confused. I didn’t know we’d be staying at a hotel but I was also excited to finally be sleeping in a normal bed as opposed to that damn couch at the back of the bus.
“C’mon Lydia,” my mom said, grabbing one of her bags from her bunk. I did the same.
I followed her off the bus and saw our bus driver taking our suitcases out from the storage area under the bus
“I’ve got this, don’t worry,” he said to me with a smile. I nodded but felt bad. I wanted to help. I’ll make him a batch of cookies as a thank you.
One of the bus doors opened in front of us and I stopped in my tracks. Please, please, please don’t be…
Paul’s face came into view and I let out a sigh of relief. I hated feeling like I didn’t want to see Harry but I just didn’t know what to say to him yet. He hadn’t told me anything about that girl so far so I didn’t know what to think. Were they dating? Were they not? Who was she? I hated not knowing.
“Hey Paul,” I shouted.
He looked over at the sound of his name and walked over to us.
“Where are we?” I asked him.
“We’re in Ireland.”
Oh, Niall he must be so happy to be back. I smiled just thinking about how excited he must be right now. I wonder if his family will be able to catch a show?
“Have either of you seen Louis and Liam? They ran off and I don’t trust them,” Paul said. I knew those two were up to something sneaky and I had a feeling it had to do with the conversation I had with Louis the night before.
Louis had come on by our bus for some dinner and I asked him if he had pulled any good pranks yet. He shook his head, disappointed in himself.
“Do you know what Paul’s afraid of?” I asked.
“Everything,” Louis said with a chuckle.
“Well, a prank I’ve always wanted to pull is buying a bunch of those fake spiders you can get for cheap. You should get some and put them in all of his belongings. You should capture some real ones in water bottles and place them everywhere.”
