“Lydia, can you do one last check of the room.  Just double check that we didn’t forget anything.”

“Mom, we barely unpacked.  I’m pretty sure we’re not forgetting anything,” I said irritably.  I hadn’t slept well the past couple of nights so I was a bit cranky.  The room looked spotless and I knew that we had everything packed in our suitcases and bags.  But I still pretended to check to please my mom then walked over to her by the door.

“All clear,” I said and she nodded.  She opened the door and I followed, one of my suitcases in each hand and my backpack on my back.  We walked down the hall and I tried to just take some deep breaths.  Thoughts of my dad had kept me up and I didn’t want to bring it up with my mom.  She’s been doing so well and I didn’t need to burden her with my problems.

We walked out of a back entrance once we got to the first floor.  There were a few tour buses that were in the parking lot but I didn’t know which one was ours.  A guy opened up one of the bus doors and started walking towards us.

“Good morning ladies,” he said.  He had a kind face and was carrying a phone, a notepad, and had a walky talky strapped to his belt.

“Good morning Paul,” my mom said.

“You must be Lydia?” he said to me.

I nodded and shook his hand.

“Nice to meet you,” he said.

“Yeah, nice to meet you too.”

“Okay, so you guys are going to be on bus number 4,” Paul said, pointing to our new home.  We thanked him and walked over to it.  I pulled my hood up to cover my hair as my pulled open the door.  The driver came down before we could step up.

“Hello, let me take those bags for you,” he said.  We thanked him as he took our stuff, letting us climb on to the bus.  Once we got up the steps, I felt myself relax a bit.  Lou was there as well as the two wardrobe stylists, Caroline and Tammi.

“Hey!  Thank god we’re on the same bus,” Lou said coming up to hug me.  She pulled away then hugged my mom.  I know she doesn’t hug a whole bunch of people so I felt a little special.

“So we still have about 4 free bunks for you guys to choose from,” she said, pointing down the bus.  I walked down and looked around.  This bus was huge.  It looked like a tiny house, which I guess it was.  A tiny house on wheels.  Wow Lydia, so profound.

I could see that 3 bunks were already taken up but even though there was one for me to pick, I honestly didn’t think that I’d be sleeping there.  The idea of a ceiling above my bunk, so close to my face, made me feel claustrophobic and trapped.  If the idea of that made me start to panic, I should probably not put myself in that situation.  I set my backpack on one of the bunks just for show and walked further back.

In the back, there were a couple couches and some TVs.  Lou’s makeup and hair products were in a couple bags on one of the couches.  The stylists were also sorting through all the clothes for the guys for the tour.

“Hey sweetheart,” Caroline said, looking up at me smiling.

“Hey, I was just checking out the bus.  I’ll leave you guys to it,” I said.  I started to turn back around, but not before sneaking a glance at Harry’s pile.  Hell yeah, he’s going to be looking fine as fuck.
