Merry Christmas

This isn't really my best work and yes it is short since I wrote it in like three minutes but I really wanted to write something for the holiday. I hope you enjoy - Sugar ❤

"Chica! I'm bored," I said as I flopped into my bed. The golden retriever made her way towards me and licked my hand. I turned in my right side and scratched her ear. "Good thing Marks coming back today right? I know you missed him," I said in my 'animal voice'. Marks been in Cincinnati to meet his parents. He wanted to meet them for Christmas, since he barely gets to see them nowadays. Chica decides to jump up on my bed and snuggle up in my arm. I pet her soft, golden fur. "I know chica, pika. I miss him too. At least he'll be back soon," I said. She licks my hand in response. I grab my phone and start to play the new Steven Universe game 'Attack the Light'. I was about to finish the game when it paused and the caller I.D if a special person on my screen. "Hi Mark,". "Hey babe. Merry Christmas!," Mark chimed.  "Merry Christmas, honey! So how're you doin'?", he asked. "I'm doing great but," I turned over to pet Chica," Chica misses you," I said into the phone trying to hold back a giggle. "Put her on the phone", he said. I grabbed Chica and put her on the bed. Then I put the phone on speaker. "Go ahead," I told him. "Hey Chica pika! It's me,dad! Don't worry. I'll be back in a few days," he said. My ears perked up. "Wait I thought you said you would be back tomorrow?," I asked. "Uhm. Well...I actually need to stay here cause if some... family issues. I'm sorry babe.  There's nothing I can do," he said. I was asked little disappointed. "It's okay. I get it. It's family. I would have done the same thing if I was you," I said, trying to make him feel better. "Thanks babe. Oh I have to go. My mom's calling me," he said. "Oh okay. Bye Mark," I said. "Bye Nate," he said, as he hung up. I threw myself back onto the bed. Oh well. It could be helped. As I was thinking the doorbell rang. Who could be here now? I didn't invite anyone.  I pushed Chica off of me and went downstairs to get the door. Ring ring ring. "I'm coming," I yelled down the hallway.  I opened the door to see my friend Matpat. "Hey Matpat. Why are you here?," I asked. "Did you forget we were going to hang out today," he said with a smile on his face. I scratched m
The back of my head,"uh well...I was kinda busy," I truthfully answered. "Hey don't worry about it," he said," I brought the diet coke," he said as he made his way inside my house.

After a few hours of playing video games Mat left to go to game lab. "Bye Mat. See ya!," I saw him off. I went back to my couch to lie down a bit. I just started to close my eyes when my phone started to ring. I saw that I had a text message by Mark. "Hey can you go to my house. I remembered I had a package that was supposed to be delivered today,". I guess I'll check it out. I went to my garage and started up my car.

I turned my off and started to make my way to the front door. I saw a small cardboard box with a sticky note attached to it. "Open me", it said. Uh okay. I tore open the box and found a key with another note inside. "Use me" it said. Is it the houses? I put the key in the door and turned. Click. The door opened. I went inside. I saw that the light in the living room was on. Every single alarm inside my body was going off. I slowly made my way towards it. I turned around to see a certain red-haired man. I dropped the box in my hand. "Oh my god,  Mark!," I said astonished. I ran up towards him and gave him a hug. "Delivery," he said as he gave me a hug. " I thought you went coming back yet?," I asked, holding him even tighter. "This wouldn't have been a suprised then right?," he said. We stayed just like that for a while until he said,"Merry Christmas honey,". "Merry Christmas babe," I replied back.
