21- Kidnapped By Vampires? But it's My Time of the Month!
---------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, yeah, it's almost been a month. But it's finally here.

My freakin hand is still throbbing. Jerk. David looks over at me sharply but I proceed to ignore him. I'm distracted by Dylan running his hand through my hair lightly. I glance back and see him resting his cheek on his palm with his eyes closed while the other hand has become preoccupied in my hair. I look at him for a few more seconds and a smirk forms on his lips. Busted. The bell rings signaling that first block is over and I turn around in my chair, cheeks warm, only to find Lance staring at me. My eyes widen.
"Do you wanna eat lunch with me?" He gives me a cute smile and I find myself smiling back. I feel a slight tug on my hair. Turning around, I see Dylan frowning at me. I choose to ignore it for payback from earlier and I stand up.
"Sure thing." I say while gathering my books. Lance and I head towards the cafeteria with the boys in tow. I see Lance looking back every once in a while at my brother and the others with a slight frown on his face.
"Lilly?" He asks me quietly.
"Yes?" I reply.
"Who are they, and why do they keep following you?" He jabs his finger behind him and I glance back. I wince. Daniel is glaring intensely at Lance while David and Dylan have similar expressions. And Derrick? A couple of stray girls have latched themselves onto him and he has an immensely happy aura surrounding himself. I glare back at my brother and mouth at him to back off, but he ignores me and continues stabbing imaginary stakes into Lance's heart with his eyes.
"Sorry, my brother is a little overprotective."
Lance's eyes widen. "That's your brother? Oh then what about the others?" He looks back at me and just as I'm about to cough up an answer, we get interrupted. One of Lance's friends from earlier, Jake I believe, comes up to us.
"Hey Lilly. We saved you a seat." He grins at me and I hear a low growl from behind me. Jake pales and swiftly turns around and heads back into the cafeteria. My mouth widens in disbelief. Expecting to see Daniel when I turn around, I get a surprise. David, jaw set, is glaring after the now gone Jake.
"Dude, what's your problem?" Lance pushes at David roughly and I rush in front of Lance as quick as it happens. I've come to learn, out of all the boys, David is the one who acts on his instincts the most.
"Daniel." I say to my brother roughly. He understands and quickly restrains David and they walk away, David glancing back at me while they leave.
I let loose a sigh and continue to walk into the lunchroom. Looking down at my arm, I see the mark is almost completely gone. I grin up at Lance and we get to our seats. Derrick sits at a table with his new "friends" and Dylan stands behind the guy who is seated in front of me. The poor boy looks up and quickly gets up from his, now Dylan's, seat. He winks at me while sitting and I give him a smirk. I get out my lunch that Eleanor had packed for me this morning.
"So Lilly, what brought you to our school anyway? I mean, we heard what happened with your mom and all..." Jake asks me while munching on his fries. Lance has draped a hand on the back of my chair and is turned toward me, listening to whatever story I can come up with. But since I always only half listen to what Daniel has to say, I forgot the story he told me this morning.
"Well I- " I feel something bump into my foot and I look at Dylan. He gives me an "I've got this" look.
"Lilly's brother decided to take her in after their mom died and now we live together." He gives a satisfied look and I stare at him exasperated.
"You live with this guy Lilly?" I wince at Lance's question. Sighing, I shake my head yes.
I start to say something but Dylan's foot has remained close to mine and he slowly moves it up and down my pant leg. Gulping, I turn towards Lance who has a frown on his face.
"A-Anyway, what grade are you i-in?" Dylan's full on smiling at me now and I'm trying hard to hide my predicament.
"I'm a senior." He smiles. Great. The same grade as my brother.
"Lance, ask her about the party after the game." Tanner, Lance's other friend tells him.
He frowns at Tanner. "I was getting to that."
"Party?" I smirk at Lance.
"Yeah, after the Homecoming football game, there's a party at Nick's, one of the running backs, house."
Dylan pauses on what he was just doing and looks at me.
"Sure, I'll come. As long as you take me there."
Lance puts on one of those cocky smiles and gets out his phone.
"Here, put your number in my phone and I'll text you where I am after the game." Not the most classy way of asking for my number, but oh well. I do what he says and hand him back his phone.
Dylan stands up abruptly and I see Derrick glance up at him. He walks out of the lunchroom and I start to stand up to follow him. Lance takes my wrist and gently pulls me back down.
"Let him go." I look at Lance sitting there in all of his golden boy glory and then back to the swiftly departing amazingly handsome man named Dylan. This doesn't take much contemplation.
"Like hell." I stand up and quickly walk out of the cafeteria following after Dylan.
I look around for him in the hallway as I walk but see no sign of him. Just as I'm passing one of the classrooms a hand grabs my wrist and I'm pulled inside, the door shutting behind me. Two strong arms are pushing themselves against the wall beside my head as I stare into piercing green eyes.
I warned and warned myself, again and again.
Never stare into those eyes.
