Lauren wakes up in the middle of the night. She yawns and looks to her left and sees Mike staring out the window. Austin notices her awake. "We're going to get everything and move. Where the saviors wont find us." He said and smiles sweetly at Lauren. "Where's Jack and Nikki?" Lauren asks and runs her eyes. "They decided they want to stay with their group so we dropped them off." Austin replied. Lauren nodded. "Where's Tracey?" Lauren asks. Zach cleared his throat. "She's still in the trunk. We're going to burry her when we get to our new place." He said. Lauren mumbled something. She looked in the back row of the small van. Juliet was sleeping on Korey's shoulder. Lauren smiled at Korey and he smiles back. Lauren closes her eyes and lays her head on Mikes chest. He rubs her back. Lauren feels something in his pocket. "What is that?" She asks and points to his pocket. Mike pulls out the stopwatch that Lauren's father gave him and smiles. "Your dad gave it to me." Mike said and looks at Lauren. Tears were forming in her eyes and she smiles "I'm going to miss them." She says quietly. Mike kisses her forehead. "I'll never leave you." He says quietly. Lauren smiles sweetly as a stray tear falls down her cheek. "I love you." Mike says. "I love you too." Lauren replies. Austin groans. "Couples." He says as he rolls his eyes. Mike chuckles at his best friends comment. He looks over at Austin and sees him sitting next to Melanie. Mike winks at Austin. Lauren looks up at Zach. She felt bad for him. He was all alone since her sister died. Tracey is gone. She has lost almost everything. 4 months ago, she was about as happy as you could get during an apocalypse. But now she's loosing a lot. Lauren looks around the car. If she lost all these people she would be scared for life. It would be such a terrible thing. These people are her new family and mean the world to her. She can't lose them. Her stomach gets an empty feeling at the thought. "D-do we have gas?" Lauren says trying to take her mind off the subject. "Yeah. About 13 gallons in the back. We hit the jackpot while you were asleep." Austin said with a tiny laugh. Lauren nodded. She sunk into Mike's arms and her eyes flutter shut.
