It was dark. Probably around one in the morning. Mike was awake. Mike looked forward and saw Zach driving. Wait no, that wasn't Zach. It was Korey. Zach was sitting in the passengers seat. "Pull over please." Mike said. Korey stopped the car. Mike got out and woke up Lauren. Once she was awake she got out too. Lauren shook Austin awake. "Hm?" He said tiredly. "Get out we're switching spots." Lauren said. The rest of the group got out. Mike hugged Zach. Melanie hugged Lauren. Korey and Juliet kissed. Melanie pulled away from the hug and walked over to Zach. Austin hugged Lauren tightly. "Are you okay?" He asks softly. Lauren sighs. "No. But I will be." She pulls away and looks him in the eyes. "We all will be." Austin pulled her back in for a hug. After everyone was done talking, Austin stepped forward. "Let's camp in the forest tonight. Just to keep our bodies stretched." He said. "That sounds great but we need a way so that no walkers will find us while we sleep." Korey said. Lauren nodded. "We'll drive through the forest until we see a good spot. Then we'll figure something out." Zach said. The group agreed and got into the car. Korey drives and Juliet sat in the passengers seat. Melanie and Lauren sat in the middle seats. Austin, Mike, and Zach sat in the way back. Lauren looked behind herself and saw Mike and Austin patting Zach's back silently. She turned forward and saw Juliet and Korey were holding hands.

Lauren sang quietly in a voice that was calm and sweet. Mike looked at her ad smiles softly.
"But it's the only thing I know." Lauren sang.
"When it gets hard, you know it can get hard sometimes. It's the only thing that makes us feel alive." Lauren sang.

Juliet sang. She turned around and smiled at Lauren.
"We made these memories for ourselves." Melanie joined in with the other girls.

Korey joined in with the girls.

They sang. All the other joined in.

The different pitch of voices blended together perfectly, creating this beautiful tune of happiness and sadness.

Lauren said softly. By the end of the song the group had tears running down their faces. They all were thinking about different people that they lost. Lauren reached behind her and found Mike's hand. They held hands when the car screeched to a stop.
"How about here?" Korey said. Everyone looked out the window. "Sure." Zach mumbled quietly.
