“Where’s that stupid blonde?” I ask referring to Kiersten.

“She isn’t stupid she’s just doesn’t try,” Hermione says.

“She’s in the library,” George answered.

“Really?” I ask in shock.

“Yes I know it’s surprising,” Fred says laughing.

“Well I should go get her,” I say.

“Yes and you need to tell us what really happened,” ‘Mione says as she stands up, ready to accompany me to the library.

Chapter 17

We make our way to the library. Luna decided to tag along.

“Yo, Green!” I say as I see Kierst’s blonde head. She turns around.

“Oh hi,” she says.

“What are you doing?” Luna asks as she sits down.

“Homework,” she answers. I look over at her work. She didn’t have much done. We all sit down.

“I can’t wait for the break,” Kierst mumbles.

“Break?” I ask.

“Do you ever pay attention in class?” ‘Mione asks in an exasperated tone.

“Occasionally,” I answer, shrugging.

“We have three days off from school next week,” Luna says dreamily. Luna was staring past us, and I was surprised she was listening.

“Oh that’s great!” I exclaim, and then I think about that,” So we’re just here for three days?” I ask.

“A ton of people are going home for a few days,” Luna says.

“Are you?” I ask Hermione.

“Yes,” she answers. I think about going home. Lucy would be excited to see me the most. Lucille, my crazy cousin and Deena’s second child, would be very happy. Lacy was only about four years older than me, making her ninteen. Lucy was actually a hybrid vampire. (Her father was one… Duh!) Shay, Lacy’s older sister, was entirely muggle and human. Shay was only twenty seven. Maybe I should go home, I think to myself. Then I hear noises.

“Kay,” Luna says nudging me. She points to the door of the library. I see Draco standing there.

“What makes you think he’s here to see me?” I ask Luna.

“Why else would he be here?” Hermione asks.

“Maybe he needs a book! You’re not the only smart kid around here,” I say, mumbling at the end. ‘Mione rolls her eyes.

“I didn’t mean to offend you,” Mione tells me. I nod. Then I see I was wrong. Draco was coming over to our table. He nods at all my friends.

“Green, Lovegood… Granger,” he says nodding at each of them. He paused at Hermione at first, but he did greet her. Luna and Kierst nodded their blonde heads at him. Hermione rolled her eyes.

“Kitten, guess what?” he asks me, turning away from them.

“What is it?” I ask.

“What are you doing over the break?”

“I think I’m going home,” I tell him confused.

“No you’re not. Mum and Father want to meet you!” he tells me. I stare at him for a long minute.

“Your parents,” I say slowly and he nods,” Want to meet me?” He nods again.

“They invited you to stay the whole break,” he says.

“They do know I’m muggle born… Right?” I ask.

“Of course they know!” he says. I thought about it. I had a feeling the Malfoys wouldn’t like me because of my blood status.

“What do you say?” Draco asks me.

“I guess I’m meeting your parents,” I say with a sigh.

“Excellent,” Draco says. He kisses my forehead, looks over my friends, and walks away.

“So you’re meeting the parents?” Hermione asks with a smirk.

“I guess so…” I say sighing. This would not end well.
