Kay’s POV
I woke up in the hospital wing. I stretched out and cracked my neck and stiff fingers. Ron was asleep on the edge of my bed. I shook him awake. We left the hospital wing together.
“Kay?” Ron asks as we reach my dorm.
“Yes?”
“I love you.”
“I know you do.”
“I was trying to be serious Giggles,” Ron says. He had started calling me Giggles because I usually laughed at everything he said.
“I know you were. Love you too,” I wink and head into my dorm. Classes continued. The school year only had a few days left. It was the last day of school soon. We were all sitting out in the court yard. Fred and George had left to start their business. Harry was still in shock over Sirius’s death and was still grieving. We had everything packed and we were leaving soon. We got on the train and sat together. The train ride was nice we kept our usual conversation. Harry was acting pretty normal and dealing with Sirius’s death. As the train landed we got off.
“Write me every day!” Hermione called to us. Her parents were standing together looking at all the people who passed.
“We will,” Luna called to her. We waved as Mione left with her parents. The Dursleys were there to pick up Harry. I hugged him and told him he better find a way to write me. He grinned slightly and hugged Ginny. Ginny and Harry had a moment before he left so we walked away. Kiersten was going to the Weasleys first then home.
“Another school year gone,” Ron sighed.
“I know. So many things happened.”
“But this was by far the best,” he said holding up our intertwined hands.
“By far,” I agree smiling.
“So you said you wanted me to meet your family?” Ron asks.
“I do. This summer you are coming over. Then we’re going to your house to help Fred and George set up.”
“What about my mum?”
“She knows. She’s fine with it, she likes us together.”
“A whole summer with you,” he mused.
“You’re dreams are coming true,” I grin.
“That’s what I love about you, you’re always all jokes.”
“There are lots of things to love about me,” I laugh. He twirls our intertwined fingers. We stand up.
“So we’ll be coming to get you in two weeks okay,” I tell him.
“Longest two weeks.”
“Yes but you will write me every day,” I tell him.
“Twice a day.”
“Wow you’re really whipped,” I laugh. I see Fred, George, and Mrs. Weasley approaching.Kiersten rushed over to George. Ron grabs me and kisses me hard. Right in front of his mum! It was a long passionate kiss. We both pulled away breathless.
“Well looky here!” Fred exclaimed. Mrs. Weasley rolled her eyes and smiled at us.
“Did you have a good year dear?” she asks.
“A great one.” I spoted Shay’s car, my cousin. We turn to each other. “My cousin’s here. Bye love,” I mumble.
“I’ll see you soon,” he says. He pulls me to him and kisses my forehead. He whispers in my ear.
“You know I never thought I’d love you.”
“Same here,” I grin.
