Chapter Recap:
“Wow, Kay.”
“What were you going to say?” I ask. A weird look crosses his lovely blue green eyes.
“What? Oh nothing,” he says quickly. I eye him suspiciously. He shrugs and gives me a goofy grin. I roll my eyes and smile back. I felt a weird feeling in my chest. It was a happy, airy feeling. What could be the source of that? I glance over at Ron. No, no no, no. I don’t have any feelings for Ron. He’s just my best friend… Yeah just my best friend.

“Faster! Faster!” I yell as Ron runs. He was giving me a piggy back ride and we were running through the streets of Hogsmeade. He carried me all the way up the ladder and back into Hogwarts. We ran through the hallways together, laughing. We finally got back to the common room. Ron stopped and dropped to the ground. The two of us burst into laughter and lay on the floor.
“I see you two had fun,” Harry says eyeing us. I laugh and sit up. I saw Kiersten, Ginny, and Hermione giving us a weird grins.
“What?” I ask.
“Nothing,” they say together. Luna smiles at me.
The ball came before I knew it. I had spent the previous day with Draco before he left to go home. The day of the ball we got to work right after school. I took a shower and washed my hair. I put in caramel highlights and washed my hair. I had to shave and moisturize and all that. I slide into my dress and Hermione did my hair while Kierst worked on my makeup. Kiersten was dressed in a very pretty short green dress and her hair was neatly curled. Ginny was in a short black and white dress that complimented her hair and eyes. Luna was in a bright purple dress and we had straightened her pale hair. Hermione was in a cute scarlet dress with her hair tamed. I slid on my shoes.
Together we all walked to the staircase. I linked arms with Ginny and Luna.
“Oh there’s Georgie!” Kiersten exclaimed as she rushed over to him.
“I see Neville,” Luna said as she skipped away.
“If you see Harry he’s probably with Ron,” I tell Ginny. Dean Thomas had asked Hermione and she spotted him. She waved and wished me luck as she walked over to him.
“Oh there’s Harry! And my brother,” Ginny says as she pulls me over to the guys.
Ron’s POV
“Looky,” Harry says nudging me. I glance up and saw Kay and Ginny rushing towards us. Kay's hair was slightly wavy and looked lighter. She had gone with the black dress. The dress stopped a little bit above knee length. The fabric clung to her perfectly. Kay was wearing casual black heels. She looked fantastic.
“Hello,” Ginny says brightly. Harry looks over at my sister in surprise. Kay steeped out from behind Ginny.
“Hi Ron,” she says quietly.
“H-H- hi,” I say. Then I tell myself to snap out of my trance.
“Well we’ll see you two later,” Ginny says as she pulls Harry away. I look at Kay as I clear my throat uncomfortably.
“Um would you like to dance?” I ask. She looks at me in surprise.
“I would love to, but I can’t dance,” Kay says.
“Neither can I,” I say as I take Kay’s hand. We walk out to the dance floor together.
“I apologize in advance for stepping on your feet,” Kay says.
