Scarlett hung up all her belongings in her new apartment. It was fairly big considering the fact she was the only one living there.

'Home sweet home.' She thought to herself.

Scarlett was somewhat over Ryan, but she couldn't just let him go. It's not as easy as it may seem in the movies. Scarlett actually thought they had something, something special. But again; however, she was obviously wrong about that.

A knock on the door brought her out of her thoughts. 'Probably Chris.' She thought to herself.

Once she unlocked the door, she saw a familiar face. Not her brother Chris, her friend Chris Evans.

"Chris." She smiled.

"Hey Scar." He replied breathlessly. That's when she noticed the amount of stuff he was holding.

"Oh! Chris come in." She mentally face-palmed.

"Yeah thanks." He smiled knowing how 'awkward' she can be.

Chris walked into her apartment, taking small glimpses here and there. He placed all the things he had been holding onto her kitchen table before turning back to her.

"What's all this?" She asked as she picked up a bag with movies.

"Well, I didn't want you to be sad. I figured I could do something to make you happy." He replied a bit awkwardly, he watched her face light up when one of the movies had to do with ninja turtles.

"Chris." She sighed. "You didn't have to do this." She continued.

"I know!" He replied a bit to quickly. I-I just don't like seeing you down. Especially because of that bastard." He huffed.

"You even brought pizza! Oh my god and fries?!" She squealed in excitement.

"Yeah...I know how much you love both of those."

"I-I just didn't think you remembered that." Scarlett smiled to herself.

"It's just you know...I care about you. I always pay attention when you tell me things like these, so I can have for future reference." Chris nodded causing Scarlett to laugh.

Scarlett heard a soft beat, a natural beat. She fluttered her eyes open as she slowly began to become more alert. A warm arm was wrapped around her waist, and only then did she realize what had happened.

Scarlett was more than shocked.

She nearly jumped when she saw she was laying on top of Chris. Her faces burned with embarrassment. To say that she was happy he was fast asleep was an understatement. Scarlett carefully laid her head back onto his chest and closed her eyes. She wanted to focus on the sound of his heart, however instead of the soft beat she heart when she first awoke, she heard his heart beating rapidly. She however thought nothing of it. She had decided to lay back down because she didn't want this to end and soon she fell asleep again with a smile on her face.

Chris had awoken the moment she nearly jumped. He however did not reveal he was awake only because he himself didn't know what happened. But when Scarlett laid her head back onto his chest his face burned just like Scarlett's had. He could have sworn his heart was going to jump out of his chest.

Until he was completely sure she had fallen asleep he relaxed and ran his hand through her hair smoothly as he studied her face. He momentarily stopped running his hand through her hair and allowed for his thumb to brush against jaw and cheek before it barely brushed against her lips.

Scarlett snuggled closer to Chris in this moment causing a smile to form on his face.

Chris kissed her head softly before bringing his hand back to her hair so that he could run his hand through it again.
