"I don't know what to do anymore," Scarlett hiccuped quietly into her brothers shirt.

"Hey hey hey, you're gonna be fine," Adrian encouraged. Mentally he was figuring out, in detail, how he was going to murder Ryan.

"Scarlett please tell us what he did, then maybe we can figure this out," Natalie responded calmly. Adrian shook his head discreetly, Scarlett, however, nodded slowly before picking up her phone and opening her 'conversation' with Ryan.

Her sister read through it aloud at first, but quickly stopped when she realized what it was about.

"Okay, let's all stop right here," Chris abruptly spoke. "Who the hell does he think he is?"

"First of all, Scarls did nothing wrong, other than exposing his ass. Who does he think he is waltzing back in like he can control her life?" Chris asked exasperatingly.

"Natalie keep reading," Adrian said quietly. Natalie obliged and continued reading. Once she finished, both she and Chris looked at Adrian expectantly.

"So??" Chris and Natalie asked simultaneously.

"Scarls did you have any conversations before this? Any that could possibly contradict what he's saying here?" Asked Adrian. Scarlett pondered for a moment before nodding quickly.

"Yeah, after I moved to New York he texted me...but I deleted those messages," Scarlett replied sadly.

"We can retrieve them, don't worry about that, right now however we have to take screenshots of your most recent conversation," Adrian replied.

"Guys lets be reasonable here," Chris paused in order to get their attention. "What could he possibly say to turn the media against Scarls? He ruined his rep, who's going to believe him now?" He questioned.

"Are you this naive? Remember when me and you thought like that Adrian?" Natalie mused. "The affair Ryan had with Bla—she who shall not be named...was a pretty big deal at the time, but at this point there isn't any gossip worthy 'news.'"

"With all the slandering that went on his name in the past months, it could make a perfect setting for him to play the victim in a cheating scandal that didn't happen..." Scarlett concluded for Natalie to everyone's surprise.

"Yeah," Natalie nodded slowly. "He's trying to play the 'good' guy, he's most likely going to pretend that this whole mess was because of Scarls and Chris," Natalie continued.

"But it isn't..." Scarlett mumbled quietly.

"We know hun, we know," Natalie hugged her sister tightly.

"Scarlett," Adrian spoke, Scarlett turned to him with teary eyes. "Give me a sense of what your previous conversation with Ryan was," he responded.

"In the conversation before this one Ryan apologized to me for what he did to me, and he told me that he wished the best for me. It was the direct opposite of the newer conversation," she replied.

"Okay, then we need that if he does decide to start something with the media," Natalie nodded.

"We'll have to retrieve those texts, I'be done it before so it won't be an issue," Adrian replied.

"We're going to need those texts sooner than we expected," Chris let out an annoyed sigh.

"Look what he decided to do,"

Chris' phone had opened the latest, and trending, celebrity gossip.

"Ryan Reynolds spills the truth"

Scarlett's heart skipped a beat. Not in the way Chris always managed to get her heart to flutter. It wasn't his sweet smile or charming laugh that was making her feel dizzy. No, her stomach twisted violently at the mere thought of Ryan. Her eyes stung from her excessive crying and she couldn't take it. He had no right to feel bad after the mess he created. Ryan has messed with her one to many times, and for once, she wasn't going to let him get away with it.

Scarlett composed herself before turning to Adrian.

"How do we retrieve the messages?"
