Scarlett sat on her bed while FaceTiming her mom who wore a huge smile on her face.

"Everything is going fine?" She questioned. Scarlett bit her lip in an effort to contain her giddy excitement. "Everything is amazing mom, I'm so happy, really," she assured.

"I know, I just don't want to see my baby girl hurt again. Remember hun, if anyone tries anything you just need to call your uncles. They will definitely be able to handle it," she replied sternly referring to Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford who were not technically her uncles. Her mother, however, liked to believe so.

"I got it mom, I will be sure to—" Scarlett's attention snapped towards the sound she heard outside. The sprinkler was on; however that wasn't the only thing she heard, a mix of colorful curses followed by a small thump was heard causing her to lift her brows in confusion and surprise.

"What was that sweetie?" Her mother questioned.

"Probably just the...wind, anyways like I was saying, I'll be sure to call you soon mommy. Bye bye," she quickly ended the call before walking to her window. She tugged her curtains out of the way before gasping quietly after seeing who was there. She opened her window to let him in.

"Chris are you crazy. What are you doing outside my window?" She asked with obvious concern.

"Well I know your friends, so I thought I'd come here secretly," he replied. Scarlett looked past Chris and saw the obvious path he came through. Broken lawn equipment was scattered throughout the lawn followed by small patches of mud which she assumed was his doing.

"You could not have made your presence more obvious Chris, now what do you want?" She asked.

"I want you to go out with me," he replied honestly while holding out his hand. Her features softened before she lightly slapped him.

"Chris there are easier ways to ask me out!" She scorned.

"So that's a yes,"

"Obviously,"

"Oh Chris, I have made many mistakes in my past. Believe me I have, but one of them lead me to you," she smiled genuinely up at him.

"Yeah? Is it 'he who shall not be named?'" He questioned.

"You are correct," she smiled sadly to herself before quickly changing the subject. "Chris when I first met you...I had feeling I would really like you, you know?"

"When you came up to me I forgot my dang name you know that? You set my heart aflame, every part aflame. And I thought to myself, this is not a game Chris," she smiled to herself.

"Did I really?" He questioned with a light smirk.

"Yeah, you did. You know Ryan, he was never there for me. When I went to the people choice awards...he told me he was going to be there. He wasn't, and I won the award which he told me I wouldn't win," Scarlett laughed dryly. "The worst part about this is that when you're in love with someone, you'll let them get away with murder...even if it's your own,"

"I gave up so much for him Chris, and he would repay me never being there for me when I needed him," Scarlett smiled sheepishly.

"You know he didn't deserve you, Scarlett you're worth so much more then what you really think," Chris replied earnestly.

Scarlett sat up from where she was previously laying down to look at Chris.

"Thank you Chris, that means a lot more then you know," she smiled genuinely.

"Scarlett," Chris quietly spoke. She turned to look at him.

"This is very serious, I need you to stand up for this," he responded, the two of them stood up and before she could ask any questions.

"You know this Scarlett, you're going to join whenever you feel comfortable okay?" He asked while she nodded in confusion.

"Okay here we go, you ready?" He asked. "Let's gather around the campfire and sing our campfire song, our—" Chris continued to sing while he watched the smile on her face grow as she realized what he was singing. Scarlett bursted into laughter and as hard as she tried, she couldn't stop.

"Chris, why, you scared the crap out of me. Oh no my tummy hurts from laughing so much give me a second," she replied while he offered to help her up. Scarlett wiped her face with the back of her hand before composing herself only to see Chris's blue eyes looking into her forest green eyes.

Chris stepped closer to her causing her breath to hitch. He walks to her before resting his forehead on hers.

"Chris," she whispers. Chris's eyes flicker up to hers before he begins to involuntarily lean in. Scarlett closes her eyes slightly before his lips finally meet hers and sparks ignite. Their lips fell into a passionate movement as the two continued. Chris wrapped his arms around her waist whilst she wrapped her arms around his neck bringing him closer to her.

"Did you know that I really really love you Scarlett?" Chris asked in between their kiss.

"Maybe a few times Evans."
