Scarlett sat back in her chair as her brother leaned against the stove.

He was boiling water to make her some tea to lighten her mood, even if it was a small boost.

"Scarls." He started. She hummed in acknowledgement.

"I feel like this question is pretty stupid and I'm guessing you told your friends your 'fine'...but how are you really?" He asked.

Scarlett looked up at her brother, she couldn't begin to describe how happy she was to have a brother like him. To have a twin brother more importantly. Since both of their older siblings (Adrien and Natalie) were older than the two of them significantly, they only ever had each other. Moving to America was hard enough, and being bullied was icing on the disastrous cake. But being together really made the new adventure worth the while. She wouldn't have the job she has now if she hadn't moved here, and neither would Chris.

Scarlett looked down at her hand where her ring use to be. She could just see and feel the memories flooding back to her.

"I-I don't know. I feel..." she sighed in annoyance of herself. "I feel so stupid." She admitted while tapping her foot in frustration as she tried to blink away tears.

"Scarls you are many things but stupid is not one of them." Replied Chris.

"It's just, I knew in a way something was up with Ryan you know? But still I had hope he wasn't like that...now he's just another ex." She mumbled.

Chris was deep in thought for a moment before furthering another question. He paused before following through with it.

"Do you still love him?" He asked.

"...I can't say I do anymore." She replied.

"Sure I did and maybe still do but...but now...he has obviously made his position clear." She paused. "He's over me." She sighed as warm tears ran down her cheeks. Her brother frowned and brought his sister into a hug.

"It's ok."
