"Hey Scarls someone is here for you! And he brought flowers," came Margot's voice from downstairs.

Scarlett knew exactly who it was but whether or not she was ready to talk to him, she didn't know. Scarlett mustered up to courage to walk down the stairs before quickly changing her mind and turning around. Margot, who was impatiently waiting for her ship to reunite, dragged her back down the stairs before she could chicken out.

"Scarlett listen to me, you have to talk to him," Margot replied. "I know you feel bad but you're going to make it worse if you continue to push this aside," Cara commented.

Scarlett nodded before making her way to the front door.

"You guys better leave because I don't want you eavesdropping!" Scarlett responded quickly before darting towards the door startling a very excited Chris.

"I am so sorry," Scarlett replied hastily. Chris tilted his head to the side ever so slightly in confusion before registering what she said to him.

"Scarls," he mumbled sadly. "It isn't your fault," he smiled genuinely.

"Chris but—"

"No buts," he stated affirmably.

"We're going out, right now," he nodded to himself.

"But Chris I don't think—"

"I said no buts!"

"Chris where are you taking me?" Scarlett asked for nearly the hundredth time.

"You'll see," he responded.

The pair walked for what Scarlett believed was years, until Chris stopped abruptly.

"Okay now open your eyes," he replied with a sense a quirkiness in his voice.

Scarlett opened her eyes to see a beautifully decorated picnic waiting for the two. Scarlett turned back to Chris knowing very well it took him quite some time to put the whole thing together.

Scarlett then turned to Chris who wore a proud smile.

"You did this all for me?" She asked.

"Yeah, I thought you might like something like this," he replied.

"Chris I love it," she gushed.

"I do have to admit I asked the girls for some help, I wasn't sure what you were most interested in since you obviously prefer indoor dates and what not..." Chris continued to ramble on about the effort he put into preparing the picnic, but for a moment her heart sank.

"Chris..." she started catching his attention.

"Why do you do it?" She asked.

"Wha—is something wrong?" He asked quizzically.

"Why do you put up with me? Chris you know you deserve so much better. You really do,"

Before he could protest Scarlett continued.

"When Ryan sent those texts I didn't talk to you, I shut you out just like I did before and I left. When I suspected Ryan of being a cheater I rejected your help and I blatantly ignored you. Chris I've shut you out so many god damn times and you still came back. Why?" She asked.

"God Chris I'm not good enough for you. It seems to me that all my problems are always being dumped on you and it shouldn't be that way," Scarlett paused momentarily to wipe the tears escaping her eyes, "I'm so problematic Chris, let's be really here. The amount of drama surrounding you name is incredible and yet you're still here,"

Chris quickly hugged Scarlett despite her protests.

"Scarlett you're not problematic. Please believe me. The problems that surround you aren't your fault, you aren't instigating problems with anyone. As for Ryan screw him," Chris stated jokingly causing her the laugh.

"Scarlett I don't take the fact that you tend to shut me out personally. Scarlett you've always been like that, since we met you've always been stubborn. But you're learning to cope with the idea of being open, and that's a great start," Chris beamed at Scarlett's now smiling face.

"And as for why I've stayed,"

"Well you already know the answer to that one,"
