Ja'far scanned the royal hallway uneasily as the guards showed off their spears, ready to attack if necessary. Their arrival at the royal palace in the secretive kingdom of (k/n) was not told before hand, and everyone in the palace was caught off guard as a young man with long, purple hair accompanied by three other males strolled into the kingdom unannounced. The purple haired man asked to speak with the king for a discussion on trade, and the guards let him and his friends in, but not without a look of suspicion.
Hinahoho and Mystras felt a little unnerved by the vast hallways and numbers guards in the palace, but Sinbad walked with a step in his stride and a confident smile. The two guards escorting the group gave uncertain glances to each other as they approached the throne room. "Wait here. We must have permission from the king to let outsiders into this room," one guard said. They slipped int through the grand doors.
"Sinbad," Mystras began, glancing to Ja'far who sent the look right back. "Is this really a good idea? I've heard stories about this kingdom back where I lived. They've got this weird sort of voodoo that they use to keep out unwanted people." The redhead gulped. "I don't want to be strung up like a voodoo doll..."
"They don't look that polite come to think of it," Ja'far mumbled, looking behind him to see the royal staff sending them glares. He huffed. "I know you really want to start a trading partnership with them, Sin, but they don't seem too pleased with us."
"Why do you all sound so worried?" Sinbad laughed. "I mean, look at what we've accomplished already. Mystras, your home basically bans outsiders, but I made friends with your father and yourself." Mystras smiled lightly and nodded. "Something like that goes for you, Hinahoho," Sinbad continued. "I'm sure we can accomplish what we've come to do," he said grinning, holding his fist to his chest. "I know we can." The three looked to him with reassured smiles. "Plus," he went on, looking to Mystras. "Have you not also heard of the princess from (K/N)?" Mystras blinked rapidly, eyes growing wide.
"No! What is she like?" Mystras gushed.
"I don't know much about her, but I've heard she's wickedly beautiful with (E/C) eyes that can cut your soul into pieces if you look at her the wrong way," Sinbad said. He and Mystras had the expression of an excited dog.
"Tch," Ja'far and Hinahoho both said. "Perverts," Ja'far scoffed.
The throne room doors opened and the guards held them open wide for them to enter. "Make it quick. King (F/N) is not feeling well, and he wishes to go to his chambers as soon as possible," the guard that had spoken before said.
"Thank you," Ja'far nodded, speaking up. They quickly walked into the throne room to see an older man perched up high on a golden throne lavished with rubies, sapphires, emeralds and other precious stones. While the chair was clad with expensive things, the king was not. He was dressed in a pale purple robe with a small golden crown. He looked tired and sick.
"What brings you four into my kingdom?" he called out to them, couching slightly after he spoke. He moved in his chair and glared down to them. There was a young woman beside him sitting politely in her own lavished throne. Her (H/C) hair was tied up into a bun, but a few loose strands fell into her face. She stared at the newcomers with a suspicious glint in her steely (E/C) eyes. "I advise that you speak quickly," the king continued.
