//I HAVE NOT EVEN MADE A YUNAN ONESHOT WTF, I DISAPPOINT MYSELF. BBY YUNAN IS PRECIOUS//

"I may be a wanderer," he smiled, "but I'm never lost when I'm with you."

---

"Will you be back soon?" (Y/N) asked quietly, voice dripping with sadness as the man before her straightened his green hat. He smiled gently and rested a hand on her shoulder, lifting her chin so she could look into his eyes. "I'll miss you, Yunan."

"And I'll miss you more, (Y/N)," Yunan whispered back. "I won't leave you here forever. Have patience and I promise it won't be as sad as you think it will be." Maybe it with was look of utter heartbreak on (Y/N)'s face, or the fact that she was trembling, but Yunan gently wrapped her in his arms and placed a kiss buried under her (H/C) hair. "Be safe. I love you."

Days turned into weeks, and weeks painfully dragged on for months. (Y/N) waited every day as patiently as she could for her Yunan to come home to their little cabin in the middle of their light green meadow. Their home was quiet without him, and her heart felt as if it were empty without his hand holding hers. (Y/N) slipped into despair without her precious Yunan smiling by her side.

(Y/N) sat quietly on the edge of her bed staring blankly at the wooden wall littered with drawings in front of her. Images of Yunan with his lanky and pale body, and sweet smile flooded her thoughts and she sniffed to herself. Would he really ever come back?

It was obvious that Yunan was a wanderer, and his habit of forgetting things was quite usual, but (Y/N) feared one thing more than anything else: he would forget her and eave her. It wouldn't be possible for her to live with that kind of grief; for the man she loved to just . . . walk away.

"Do you still love me?" (Y/N) whispered aloud as if Yunan could somehow hear her.

"Of course I do," a familiar, sweet voice said quietly. (Y/N) gasped and jumped up from the bed. A dimly glowing figure of Yunan sat on the bed. His smile was gentle and his eyes were closed. (Y/N) covered her mouth to try and keep herself from crying. Yunan opened his eyes again and tilted his head as he looked at her. "Why would you doubt that?"

          "Yunan—!"

"Come here, love," he said quietly, opening his arms. He laid he staff next to his leg and beckoned her closer. (Y/N) quickly made her way over and sat by him, wrapping her arms around his side, and he pulled her closer with one arm. The glowing aura around him was warm, and it gave a soothing sense of peace to (Y/N).

          Peace.

She hadn't felt true peace in months. Being all alone to read, cook, drink, and sing was all too hollow without Yunan. She felt that her peace truly rested with him.

"Are you dead, Yunan?" (Y/N) asked, voice hitching in her throat. She couldn't find any other way to explain why he was here in this state. She knew he wasn't exactly with her. He appeared from nowhere. Of course, (Y/N) knew Yunan was a Magi, but she wouldn't think he could do something so strange.

"No, I'm not dead," Yunan chuckled. "It's hard to explain, but I'm here in a solid spirit with you. The Rukh granted me the chance to see you." He looked down to her and kissed her nose. "You've done very well without me."

"But it doesn't feel that way," (Y/N) said. "I miss you."

"And I miss you. We're both hurting."

(Y/N) pouted. "I don't like this hurting. I want you to come home."

"I will be home soon. I'm coming home, I promise," Yunan said. They sat there in comfortable silence for a long time until (Y/N) felt herself drifting off to sleep. She pulled him back and laid on his chest, snuggling warmly on the bed. He held her closely and hummed slightly. "Goodnight, (Y/N)."

(Y/N) woke up that morning holding a pillow in her arms. Yunan was gone, and she felt alone once again, but she smiled lightly. The short time they had spent together was good enough to hold her over. He was coming home.

---

She could feel it. She felt in the energy in the wind, the calls of the birds, and the beating of her heart.

          Yunan was close to home.

(Y/N) ran. She practically flew onto the dirt path to the edge of the meadow with her heart pounding in her chest. His face would not leave her mind, and she didn't want it to. "Yunan!" she screamed, seeing his pointed, green hat in the distance. His face lit up and he ran to her with open arms, kicking up dirt under his shoes.

They enveloped each other in warm arms and broke into tears. The aching void of patience had been filled, and the two were reunited completely once more. "You took forever," (Y/N) whispered, wiping a tear from the corner of her eyes. She laughed slightly as she saw the guilty look on Yunan's face.

"I'm here now, though," he said almost hopefully. He bent down and kissed her forehead, nose, then lips. "I missed you, sweetie. My precious (Y/N). I promise you that I will never leave you. I love you too much for that to happen."
