Chapter 14

His voice woke me up. I wasn't able to understand what Finn said, I remembered now I had slept with him because his arm was holding me. I moved to see the clock aside to the bed and saw the glowing numbers reading 2:17 a.m.

"He's with my girl..." Finn was sleep talking. I moved his arm carefully so I could change my place easily. "Who's with your girl, Finn?" Speaking to sleep people can be quite fun.

"I don't know. But she's mine." He mumbles. His words started to make me curious.

"Which girl?" Don't know really which is the answer I was waiting for.

"She not mine but I like her. We're so different..." And he decided to shut up. Why now?

He turned and said nothing more. I had a hard time falling asleep but managed to. I woke up again, this time I needed to get up. I was holding his hand this time, as slowly as I could I lifted my hand and got my clothes for the day on the bathroom. Before going in, I wrote a note. -Finn please don't go out. Wait for me until I see if the teacher already left her room. Thanks. Melissa- and left it somewhere he could see it. I took a shower, put my outfit on and went to to do my make-up. Strangely, I heard no noises and thought Finn was still asleep. I moved and saw an empty bed.

"Fuck." He left a note. -Sorry Melissa, I needed a run. Don't worry, I'll be careful. Finn X-. Self-note: don't even bother asking Finn for favors. I did my makeup and texted Caroline to ask her what we were going to do. She said we'll meet in the lobby in half an hour and then leave to the Vatican and then we'll be free. I told her to meet me there in ten minutes. She doesn't know about my room and I've got to tell her.

As I was leaving the room, someone else's door was closing too. Mrs. Falzoni was stepping out to the hall. "Good morning Melissa!" She said eager. "I'm going to make sure your friends get ready to take the bus to the Vatican on time. See you at the lobby in a few minutes." Just when she finished Finn was coming down the hall. I looked at him with panicked look and he got the message because he passed walk the room and just smiled at us.

Running down to the lobby I met Caroline and Christy on the elevator. We sat on a couch and started talking. I told them everything that had happened. They were both giggling and when I was done the questioning started.

"So you did nothing but sleep with him right?" Christy asked doubtfully.

"Of course!" I almost screamed. "Besides, it was an accident, I did not planned to sleep with him. It won't happen again. As much as I like him I won't be doing that kind of things..."

"You really like him, don't you?" Caroline asks. I stop to think for a moment. Do I? I mean I liked him before I've meet him because, well I just liked him. But now that I've got know him really, do I like him?

"Mmm, good question." I looked for the right words. "I guess I do like the part of him I've seen, but there's also details I'm not in love with. Yes, I'd love to get to know him better." Christy said nothing but "Aww!"

"What have you done with Mel, you thoughtful adult?!" Said Caroline as a joke.

Jack came down before the other girls and said hi. He sat with us, next to me and asked which was today's plan. He's so good looking. I love how he talks and smile. Caroline was basically drooling. He was obviously not that interested to go with us to the Vatican so he said he'll probably do some work with Finn today. He sounds so grown up. When the girls left he stayed with me.

"Mel, what happened last night? I was worried about you and Finn." He did looked worried.

"We shared the room because a teacher moved next to me to keep an eye. She has no idea Finn's there. When I was about to tell him to change room he was already there so we couldn't go out." I explained. Jack was kind of laughing at me.
