You are only confined by the walls that you build around yourself.

At the age of sixteen, Saeyoung's mother was filed to court. She was pleaded guilty for child abuse and was sentenced to jail for 5-10 years, also leading to orphan her children whom were later sent to the adoption center.

Despite Saeyoung's new life at the orphanage, he couldn't help but feel lonely. Saeran, in the distance, had been happily playing all the while, while Saeyoung sat by his lonesome, watching, and took a deep breath. At least they're living a better life.

After a few months, Saeyoung and Saeran were both adopted by a man and his wife. They seemed more than ecstatic to see them, not fazed by their frizzy red-scarlet hair and yellow eyes. Saeyoung adjusted his glasses just the slightest as he picked up his bags and went his jolly way along the path that he later took with his new parents.

"Would you look at that, Saeran," Saeyoung mused in awe. "After all those months of waiting patiently, luck was besides us this time. Can you believe it?"

Saeran simply nodded without uttering a single word.

The two brothers adjusted into their new home in happiness, not forgetting their discomfort in the newfound surroundings. They've been convinced that they were accepted, but they couldn't help but assume a few things.

Will they take care of me? was Saeran's question.

What will happen to all my friends? was Saeyoung's. His thoughts were led more into school and educational businesses, considering he was falling behind due to the neglection his mother lashed on him. And then he felt concerned about Saeran. He's the same age as him, and he knew much less. But worrying about things like so is nerve wracking, and too soon - and so he stopped.

"When you're ready, you can come down for dinner!" said their adoptive mother who seemed as if she were holding back a beaming grin. Then she shuffled away, all jolly and all, back into the kitchen. Their adoptive father did a simple smile, as if telling them "Welcome home," and trailed after her.

Both brothers, Saeyoung and Saeran, ran down the halls and found their selves in an nearly empty room. It was infested with the usual children's stuff, but it was a bit too underaged for the two boys. Toys, baby books, even a crib was there.

Confused, Saeran went to check if it really was their room, or someone else's.

"....Saeyoung, look at this."

The heavy curiosity still lingered upon Saeyoung's mind. Should he just risk the chance or stay low and give his adoptive parents to give them time to adjust? Actually, that second option just pushes him further into taking the risk, so he decided to do it anyways.

Based on Saeran's discovery, it was an old-looking photo of a scan. A scan that looked just like a fetus.

"Well shit."

"What do you think this means?" asked the untainted Saeran who hesitantly took his eyes off the photo, nearly engulfed in the wonders of thoughts and assumptions of what it may be.

"It's....nothing. I don't understand it either, but it creeps me out, so let's get out of here."

Saeran, being oblivious to the situation, obliged meekly.

After a few weeks, the two brothers were able to meet up with their best friend (Name), seeing how it had been countless of days since they seen her.

"So how's life going for you?" (Name) curiously asked with another signature grin. She was persistently swinging her legs back and forth in a playful manner, which occasionally startled Saeyoung when he was led to the thought that she might drop her ice cream from the force that she took.

May the force be with you, (Name).

Saeyoung didn't seem to give a response, for he just shrugged on behalf of Saeran and him. Only did he decide to take all the questions to consideration and answered them as quickly as possible, for Saeran was too busy eating his own ice cream.

"School's been weird."

"Well, isn't that something?

Saeyoung smiled in a shy way, his thoughts beginning to form once again. His eagerness, his curiosity, his happiness took over. Willingly, he decided to ask her a question.

"So how's your life doing?"

(Name)'s smile seemed to stay the same. It didn't grow wider, as Saeyoung would have expected, and nor did it depict her current mood. But a smile was still there, and Saeyoung was easily convinced that she was doing swell.

"I'm okay," she said. "my life's doing just great."

With that response, Saeyoung was immediately satisfied with his curiosity. He nodded happily, taking another bite in the small treat, and decided that they should visit the town's fountain.

"I...I wanna make a wish." Saeran whispered just the slightest to his brother. Saeyoung took a sigh and dug deep into his pockets, looking around for a coin that Saeran can use. Before he handed the spare coin to him, (Name) briskly handed Saeran her own coin with an energetic grin.

"Yay! I win!" she cheered, fist-pumping the air in pure joy.

"We weren't even racing," Saeyoung laughed in a gentle tone. Her eyes were supposedly 'twinkling' in concentration as he said so, before accusingly pointing him her right index finger.

"I shall battle thee, even if it is unexpectedly!"

"You're so random."

"Why thank you,"

Saeran had slowly excused himself from their seemingly intense conversation and went his way to the wishing fountain. Its structure was intricate with many beautiful designs, depicting the sea, and was all very symmetrical. Despite it being weathered and worn, people still come here to take pictures and rest upon its stone.

As expected, there were coins in the bottom of this fountain's waters.

"I'm going to make a wish!" announced an all-bubbly Saeran who grinned sheepishly. Saeyoung had instantly followed after, worried that he might be kidnapped (brotherly instincts).

"Hey, don't forget about me!" (Name) laughed quietly, jogging over to the fountain with a coin in her hand. Saeyoung, wanting to follow along, brought out his own coin and wished for something that he had been yearning to having.

I wish for a happier future.

He didn't know what got into him at first. His new parents were treating him kindly, and Saeran's condition is getting better piece by piece. It deemed to him that his wish was understandable, but he let it pass. Who knows, life might get even more better if he wishes it to happen.

When he stepped away, he already saw (Name) in her usual attitude. A calm gentle smile that expressed her usual happiness.

"Hey, (Name), what did you wish for?"

She slightly giggled at that. "You know, if I tell you my wish, it won't happen! That's why it's a secret."

"You keep too many secrets to yourself."

"I know..."
