❝The things that you never do will remain untouched or untainted upon your eyes.

The oh-so professional hacker had been accomodating a series of multiple tasks during the last few days. It had been sheer luck to be able to contact Jihyun during those days and acted accordingly moreover.

With particular circumstances, his options to doing certain things were very confusing and at times, risky.

"I guess we can allow MC out of the apartment for the time being. That way, she wouldn't meddle with Rika's stuff all the more. She seems pretty nosy, but nice nonetheless, no? Haha." said Jihyun from at the other side of the line.

Saeyoung had merely agreed with that statement, entrusting his choices and considering what to do at the same time.

"It's important to keep track to where she's going. She's not fully trusted, I'm sure. Who knows, she might spill some information to that Mint Eye association. So make sure to find out her address and install some surveillance cameras in her home." Jihyun advised, sounding concerned and stern at the same time.

"Got that. Maybe a little hacking will do the trick," chuckled Saeyoung as he drank from another can of PhD Pepper. "so should I contact her right now or should I wait a little longer?"

"It's your decision. Just be careful. Also, tell MC I said hi."

The call ended.

It was necessary to contact MC right away, knowing that she may be exceeding the limits of her patience by now. Just the thought of her blowing up already was slightly worrying. But when he check the cameras, it seemed that she was just sitting there texting away, preferably Hyun. Saeyoung knew clearly that she was more fond of him than anyone else in the chatroom--

Saeyoung paused for a moment. It had been more quiet than he had expected it to be. Did Vanderwood leave already, perhaps? Or maybe it's because he stopped typing?

He batted an eye, looking around to see anything suspicious. The draped curtains that covered up the sunshine did not sway at all, indicating the silence and faint movement of the wind.

By then, it was that moment when Saeyoung realized...

He ran out of Honey Buddha Chips.

"NOOOOOOOO!"

"Luciel, shut up already!"

-

On familiar days like this, Saeyoung would take a small interval between his work hours, usually using that time to go outside and take a refreshing walk. To him, everyday must be a productive day. If it isn't productive, he wouldn't being showing any progression any time soon.

So wearing the usual winter clothing, he wrapped himself in a scarf and made his way out.

"Alas, the chilly but fresh air has arrived inside my nostrils!"

"That sounds really disgusting."

Looking towards Vanderwood, he gave out a lighthearted laugh. The winter air had always welcomed him, and as you could see, it made him free again. Free from stress' grasp. Free from everything except the cold itself.
