Chapter 11 - Zen

Zen is a username that is used in an online chatroom from the game, "Mystic Messenger". The owner of that username is Hyun Ryu, a semi-successful act/dancer/singer.

So it was like any other day for Saeyoung. He worked away, ignoring the demands that Vanderwood gave him, and ate his normal, everyday meals whenever he was hungry. Eat, sleep, hack. That was his routine.

It has been 2 days since Saeyoung last saw (Name). He last saw her with those usual, bubbly smiles, and he never forgot it since. He wasn't lovestruck or anything, he just admired her smile. It wasn't perfect, it never really was, but it was there.

"Luciel, you have another task to do." said Vanderwood, standing against the doorway.

"I know. I'm working on it." replied Saeyoung, glued to the screen with mere concentration. He typed away, briskly tapping on one letter to another, and whenever he would zone out, he would click on the mouse in a soothing rhythm.

When Saeyoung glanced towards the doorway, Vanderwood was gone. Knowing that he left to go back home, Saeyoung dismissed his presence and resumed in working. Gliding against the keys, easily typing in word for word, concentrated and relaxed on his work and completely aware of what to do. What to avoid is something that he later struggled with, and each firewall was broken down into oblivion by the time he said, "Done".

His phone notified him, telling him that he had recieved a text from Jumin. Not knowing what was happening, he decided to see what the text was to feed on his curiosities. And when he did find out what it had said, he nearly flipped out.

Echo Girl accused Hyun to sexually assaulting her? What a deceiving fraud she is.

Seeing this, Saeyoung immediately transitioned from work to finding evidence that can prove Hyun's innocence. Wasn't this unfair treatment? For Hyun to even deserve this? It was surely too much for him. To have his reputation, the one thing that he had worked hard for, to be scraped off so easily like a piece of gum from under a fast food restaurant's table.

After some research, it seemed like Jumin was involved in the mess too.

He didn't particularly know what was going on in the outside world, and was better of shielding himself away from the problems, seeing as how he was being tortured himself. But he chose this path, and was better off staying to where he was now for safer assumptions. But seeing his friends' social status being condemned upon the rest of the world had definitely irked him.

They're all he has.

He was rather busy these days, typing away and looking for important pieces of information that can be connected to the "Echo Girl Incident". Batting his eye left and right, occasionally taking breaks from time to time by giving his eyes a rest and eating some snacks that laid around the area.

And after that day, even more chaos went ahead of him. Battling to be noticed.

Hyun had recently stated that he had a vision in his dreams that an unknown intruder will threaten to kidnap MC and use her as a hostage to leak information from the RFA. It was quite the odd dream, but MC had seemed to believe him. Knowing that he had the surveillance cameras to help him watch over her, he was more assured for now. But even with the surveillance, he didn't have the security properly set up yet.
