Eryn Foster

Eryn was face down on her bed, crying when Nyre snuck in through the window.  Eryn turned over and glared at her through red eyes. Her wings stuck out awkwardly.

"Where have you been?"

Nyre pressed her back against the wall. "School. Like you asked." She muttered studying the feathery wings on her companion.

"You were at school!? My school!?" Eryn nearly fainted. She couldn't fall back because her wings were already pressing uncomfortably against her bed frame.

"You asked me to go last night. Before you went to sleep. You were really sweaty-"

"Yeah. I remember." Eryn cut her off. She looked at Nyre's choice of clothing. "What are you wearing?! Did you go to school like that?" The feeling of nausea swept over her again.

"What's wrong with it? I like it. You needed a change of style." She commented. "Besides, with those things, you'll never want to show your face again." She laughed.

"This isn't funny, Nyre." Eryn spat. She grabbed her phone from her nightstand and dialed Seth's number. No answer. She tried Matthew with the same result. "What did you do?" She asked, trying to keep calm.

"I didn't do anything!" Nyre said innocently. Her eyes were wide. Eryn knew she was lying.

"I hate you." Said Eryn. She rubbed her face and closed her eyes.

"I didn't do anything!" Nyre protested again, crossing her arms.

Eryn ignored her. "I asked you to go to school for me. Not go to school looking like-like this!" She threw her hands up. Eryn wanted to scream. She felt a migraine pulsing in the back of her head.

"What about... those?" Nyre pointed to the huge wings that were attached to Eryn's shoulder blades. Eryn shrugged.

"I had a dream." Was all she said before she furrowed her eyebrows at her other half. "Why do you wanna know?"

"Well. They're just kinda... there."

"You already know, don't you? This is some stupid prank you've pulled! Take them off!"

Nyre threw her hands up in defense. "I didn't do anything. Like I told you, I can't even get inside your head let alone mess with your anatomy!"

"Fix it!" Eryn stood up, swayed slightly, and glared at the underdressed girl. "Now."

"I didn't do anything! I swear. Besides, if I wanted to prank you, I wouldn't do something as minor as that." She gestured to the wings.

"Minor!" Eryn exclaimed. "I have bird wings coming out of my back and you call that minor!" She fell back on the bed, face first, in a new fit of tears.

Nyre bit her lip. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that."

Eryn cursed at her through the pillow. Nyre winced and apologized again.

"But there's a slightly bigger problem. Where am I supposed to go? I mean, I don't mind hanging with you, but what about when your father shows up or something. Not only will he question why there's two of us, but also your wings." Nyre stated, trying not to upset Eryn even more.
