I'm having so much fun with this book so far lmao
The four of them walked through Jedha city, whose poverty had gotten ten times worse since the last time Jade and Sage were here. Jyn was walking rather fast when all the sudden she bumped into a man with a weird looking nose and his friend. He was quick to grab onto Jyn's arm and pull her back, "Hey, you just watch yourself!"
Cassian was quick to get between them as Jyn tried to launch herself at the man. "Whoa, whoa, we don't want any trouble. Sorry." He said to the man who was also being held back by his friend.
Jade grabbed Jyn's arm and turned her back towards the direction they were walking in and Cassian let go of her. Jade also was keeping an eye on Sage since it was easy to get lost from one another in the crowded city they were in.
There were holograms of the cargo pilot who had defected. They obviously want him back since they were WANTED holograms. Cassian and Jyn went up ahead as Jade and Sage walked behind them, making sure to keep an eye on them while Cassian explained the plan to her.
"Was that the cargo pilot were looking forward?" Sage asked, referring to the wanted holograms.
Jade nodded, "Yes, so keep an eye out for him,"
Sage said 'ok' but it was too hard for Jade to hear over the loud crowd they were surrounded by as they walked through the streets.
"We'll give her your name and hope that gets us a meeting with Saw," Cassian explained as Jade and Sage got up closer.
"Hope?" Jyn scoffed.
Cassian turned back around, "Yeah," he said with a 'it's obvious' tone of voice before getting up closer to her, "Rebellions are built on hope."
All four of them looked down one of the streets to see a few stormtroopers pushing civilians around. Sage attempted to walk towards them but Jade pulled her back. Jyn turned back to Cassian and the group continued to walk, "Is this all because of your pilot?"
Cassian didn't say anything as they came to a small clearing filled with people, Cassian told all three of them to stay put. Jade and Sage began chatting about the men in red suits with staffs when Jyn got interested in a blind man on the corner.
"Why are those men dressed like that?" Sage asked as two of them walked by.
Jade spotted them, "They were protectors of the temple. But there's not really a temple left for them to protect."
Jade's words even saddened herself, they saddened anyone who was a force-user. Jade decided to pay attention to the blind man that Jyn was talking to.
"What do you know about kyber crystal?" He asked with a rather large smile on his face causing Jade to smile, he was blind yet he could see things through the Force.
"My father he- he said they power the Jedi's lightsabers," Jyn told him causing him to smile even wider, as well as Jade.
Cassian was now standing next to Sage, "Jyn, Jade, c'mon."
Jyn hurried off towards them and Jade only gave them a signal to go on ahead without her as she turned back towards the blind me, "You, you believe in the Force?"
The man nodded, "You do too." He stated.
Jade smiled to herself, "Oh yes, I definitely do. I'm Jade Terrano, you are?"
He smiled happily at her, "I'm Chirrut Imwe, it's a pleasure to meet you, Jedi Master." He whispered the last part to make sure no one around heard him.
