The Host Club's Dog

Haruhi entered music room three after a long day of school work. She usually was energized after all that learning, but for some reason today sh was sleepy and slightly grumpy. She placed her bag on a chair and made her way to her friends.

The boys were all huddled together in a loose circle, looking at something on the floor. Honey was jumping up and down, making squealing noises and saying something about treats. As she reached the group, Kyoya stepped aside for her to see, smiling slightly. On the floor sat a small brown and white puppy. It was staring at Honey, who had candy in his hand. More stood over him to make sure no chocolate reached the dog's level. 

"Awww." Haruhi said, causing Tamaki to turn around so quickly that he almost fell backwards. She smiled at the puppy and reached to pet it. The puppy began licking her hands furiously. Tamaki appeared next to her and began babbling. "We figured since you aren't our dog anymore, we'd get a real one! The girls will love him don't you think. I'm still deciding on a name! What do you think....." Haruhi quit listening and turned to Honey. "How about you and Mori go buy some actual dog treats?" More nodded and dragged Honey to the door. 

She turned her big eyes on Kyoya next. "Is this allowed?" He smiled and tilted his glasses to see her better. "I've already talked to Tamaki's father. He said it was fine as long as he stayed in here and we cleaned up the messes." She nodded, then returned her gaze to the small dog. It yipped and leaped at her, trying to get her attention. Haruhi knelt on the floor and pet the dog's turkey ears. 

"You'll be a good host won't you!" She cooed at the pup. "Host!" Tamaki exclaimed. "What?" The twins asked. "The dog's name is Host!" Kyoto nodded enthusiastically. "I like it." Haruhi turned back to the dog and grinned. "Hi Host!" 

Once all the clients had arrived and they all had their attentions on the dog, Haruhi made her way over to Kyoya who was taking notes in his book. "Why did we get a dog?" Haruhi asked. She felt shy talking to him since she knew he was aware of her kiss with Tamaki. "It was Tamaki's idea originally, however I decided to take action and actually go get the dog. I thought you would like it." He smiled slightly and kept writing. Haruhi flushed and turned her eyes back to the guests. "He takes some of the attention off you doesn't it." He added, brushing her hand with his fingers as he walked away. Haruhi suddenly got the feeling that Kyoya didn't like her having all the attention, at least not from Tamaki. This made her heart swell as she watched him go, momentarily forgetting about the puppy, and finally relaxing after her long day.
