(((Four months later (April))))

(CARTER’S POV)

It was eight months pregnant Meri, Sammi, Juliet, Ella, Lauren, Anthony, and me all squashed into my 1980 GMC Sierra Long bed, on our way to go dress shopping.

“Carter! What colors are you going to do?” Anthony asked excitedly.  I swear he was more excited about this than I was.

“Black and blood red, like the ring, as I have already told you,” I say.  Anthony had insisted on making me and each girl a custom dress.  Well, he designed it then gave it to a person to make it.  We were all on our way to pick up the dresses to try them on so small sizing changes could be made.  The only one not trying on a dress was Meri, who was huge.  The wedding was after her due date, so we got her one in her normal dress size.

“Mr. Lark?” someone said when we got there.

“Right here,” Anthony said as he walked up.

“And the bride is?” the woman at the desk asked, glancing at each of us and putting on a disgusted face.

“Her, Carter Black,” Anthony said pointing to me.  The woman looked surprised for a moment.

“Yes, well, will you be able to afford these dresses? They are quite expensive…” the woman said after looking at my outfit, a ripped BVB shirt, ripped jeans, combat boots, then my usual hair and makeup.

“Yes,” I reply, trying not to slap her.

“Alright, my name is Deystinie Starx and I will be fitting you all today, I guess,” the lady said, walking to the back.

“Shit,” I said.

“What?” Sammi whispered to me.

“That is the girl that used to bully me in high school and junior high,” I said, my tears watering at the memories.

“If she tries anything, and I mean anything, she will regret it, okay?” Sammi said, hugging me.

“Thanks Sammi,” I said. And we walked back.

“Okay, this one is marked ‘bride’” Deystinie said, handing me a dress.  “These ones ‘bridesmaid’, these two ‘M.O.H.’ and this one ‘flower girl.’”

“Two Maids of honor?” Sammi questioned.

“Well, duh.  You and Meri!” I said as she and Meri squealed and hugged me.

We each went to try the dresses on.  Anthony couldn’t have done better.

I tried mine on and It fit perfectly.  The front was cut low enough to see my tattoo that I got that had Ashley’s name and two hearts, but not so low that I was flashing everyone.  The back went down to my hips to show off my angel wings tattoos.  The bottom part of the dress was blood red with black lace, and the red matched the tips of my hair that we were dying tomorrow perfectly! The top part was black lace over white fabric.  All of my tattoos on my arms were visible.

I walk out wearing the dress.

“Holy shit!” Meri exclaimed.

“You look beautiful, Carter,” Sammi said.

“I love it! It looks exactly how I wanted it to!” Anthony shouted.

“Go try yours on!” I yell at all the girls, except Meri, while I changed back into my clothes.

Sammi and Meri’s were lovely! They were sleeveless dresses that were blood red with a black sash right below the bust.  It came about knee length on Sammi and was tight, but not too tight.  It hugged her just right, and I knew it would on Meri, too, because she and Sammi had very similar body styles.
