I woke up and looked around me. Carter wasn’t there. She must have gotten up to get breakfast or something. I walked over to the restroom area. I saw a note on the sink, it read:
“Ashes,
I need to go clear my head for a bit. Don’t worry. I will try to be back before the show starts this afternoon. If not, fill in for me, please. If I’m not back before bus call, don’t worry, I will meet you at the next stop.
Don’t worry
Love,
Carter <3”
“Dammit,” I yell, tears forming at my eyes.
“What’s wrong, Ash?” Meri asks sleepily, her and Ashley poking their heads out of her bunk.
“Carter! She-“I started to cry more, so I handed Ashley the note, who read it out loud for the entire bus to hear.
“Shit, I knew we should have watched her last night! She did this after Mamma died and again after Dad died!” War yelled. He then punched a wall and collapsed on the couch, crying. Anthony came up behind him and rubbed his back. “We-I thought she killed herself those times, that’s is what she is probably planning to do. She is making promises she can’t keep and telling us not to worry as she goes and does whatever she does to leave!” he said, his voice getting louder and louder.
“War, calm down. Me and the guys will get the other bands looking for her and we will check everywhere. There are a lot of forests here, she may be just walking around,” Ashley said.
“o-okay,” war sobbed. I ran out of the bus.
“Carter! CARTER!” I yelled.
“Whoa! Ash! What’s up? Where is Kitty?!” Chris asked.
“She’s gone! She ran away after she heard the news! She-“I started to cry again.
“Go back to the bus and calm down. Call anyone she knows and see if they know where she is. I will grab Austin, Tony , Andy and Ricky and go look for her in the forests. Okay?” Chris said.
I couldn’t speak. I just nodded. I walked over to the bus and called everyone I knew, trying desperately to find someone who knew where she was.

(CARTER’S POV)
I couldn’t sleep. Ash was sleeping right next to me. I look over at him. He looks so peaceful when he sleeps. Not a care or a worry was on his face. I sighed.
“I’m sorry Ashes, I need to get some fresh air,” I whispered to him. I kissed his cheek and carefully climbed out of our bunk. I scribbled a quick note telling him not to worry. We had arrived in Tennessee earlier that night, so I just excited the bus and ran to the nearest forest.
I stopped to catch my breath real quick. Damn, it was cold. Probably fifty degrees at least. I should have grabbed a jacket. I was still in my stage clothes from the other night: ripped blue jeans, CM Punk shirt, and Converse.
I started to run again. Why? I don’t know. I was running until I felt something tug at the back of my shirt. It had gotten caught in a tree. I struggled, not really thinking about how I was getting out. I finally managed to get free, but my shirts’ back was all torn. I took it off and threw it into a bush. Now I just had a camisole on the top half of my body. Lovely. I started to jog again and fell. A sharp pain went through my body but I shrugged it off.
I walked over to the brook that was a few feet in front of me and sat. I let my thoughts take over me. I didn’t have my iPod with me so I just sat and listened to the brook’s babbling.
“Kitty?” Someone said.
