Ok so it's later than planned but it's here non the less. This chapter begins the ending though i'm afraid, so there will only be a couple more chapters to come. Thank you for your patience and I hope you enjoy reading this one <3
Lilly's POV
“Stop, please just stop!” I beg through my tears as the knife, now warm in my blood, presses against my stomach again.
“But i'm having so much fun.” The short man says as he slides the blade against my flesh. The room fills with the sound of my screams. I thrash about and flex my muscles against the straps on the bed that are restraining me.
“Stop, please,” I sputter, closing my eyes as he slows down the slicing. He pauses for a moment then to my surprise nods and places the dripping red blade on the metal tray beside him.
“She can't take anymore.” He says, my eyes, blurry with tears, follow the direction of his gaze to a cloaked figure standing by the door. I hadn't even noticed them come in. They don't speak, just look at each other. The bald man’s face is scrunched up in confusion before he nods. I look between the two, confused by the silent exchange.
The cloaked figure turns in a swift movement and is out of the room in a second.
“Who was that?” I whisper, cringing as the open cuts around my throat throb.
“You ain't allowed to talk,” he says, shooting a glare to me.
“I'm sorry,” I cringe, afraid he'll punish me for speaking.
“Don't worry, she doesn't want me hurting you any more just yet.”
“She?” I ask, scrunching my eyes to ignore the throbbing pain.
“Stop talking, go to sleep.” He says, pressing a needle into my arm. I feel it dripping through my system, forcing me to sleep. I welcome it with open arms.
Cloaked Figure's POV
“Er, boss...?”
“What?” I sigh, turning from my bookshelf.
“Why am I torturing that poor girl? Everything you need to know about the Kingdom you already know... I honestly don't think she can take much more...”
“Excuse me? Are you in charge around here? Are you the one paying me?” I shoot the questions at him whilst walking slowly forward.
“Well no but-”
“Then I suggest you stop talking before you take her place.”
“Yes ma'am, i'm sorry please forgive me.”
“Just get out. Go have a shower, you smell like blood and sweat.” I demand, watching as he quickly waddles away, both hands tightly holding onto his suspenders.
I reach beside me to the glass of red wine, raising it to my lips. With glass in hand I walk to the bookshelf again, this time reaching for the photo frame sitting on the far left of one of the shelves.
The two of us in the photo looked so happy, not a care in the world. Back in the day when we were oblivious to the world of evil. Part of me misses that, but the majority of me is just having too much fun.
As I stride down the corridor, my cloak trailing behind everyone stops what they're doing and bows their heads. Afraid of what i'll do if they don't. It's a wise choice really.
I reach the end corridor where my “main man” is waiting for my presence.
“M'lady,” he says, reaching for my hand and placing a small kiss upon it.
