I stayed in my room all day. Alex would bring me food and water every few hours so I don't starve. Every time he comes in here I can see the pain of rejection in his eyes and I know i'm the cause of it all. I shouldn't keep pushing him away, but why do I? I've accepted the fact that I want to tell him, that I want to be with him but whenever i'm given the chance to express how I feel I chicken out and lie. I think part of it's because I promised myself I would fight until I die, that isn't really happening now but my body and mind still wants to fight. I don't understand why I can't go see my family, it's not like i'd run away from him or anything, he could come with me if that would make him feel better. I know he's controlling but this is just silly. Stop thinking about him, I demanded myself. To take my mind off of things I looked around the room hoping to find something to distract me. I could watch a movie... nope. Play guitar... maybe. I realised that all I really wanted to do was leave this room. Go to a different sceneri. That's all. And I knew exactly where to go.
The library doors openned and as soon as they did I knew I had come to the right place to let my mind relax. I walked over to my little corner and sank to the floor, bringing my knees to my chest and resting my head on my knees, letting my eyes close and my mind rest. I drifted off into a peaceful sleep with no stress or pain, just laughter.
Alex's POV
She's locked herself in her room all day, just laying on her bed staring at the ceiling. I've taken her food and water throughout the day and she thanks me and eats it, but never takes the initiative to start a conversation with me. I understand she's upset, she's homesick and misses her friends and family but her behavious is just ridiculous. I looked outside through the window and saw the sunsetting, time to take Lily some dinner.
I went to the kitchen and filled a plate with chicken, potato and vegetables, filled a glass with water and started walking in the direction of her bedroom, making the decision right then that we'd talk it out this time. I won't let her just keep ignoring me anymore, and she needs to be honest with me about her feelings. I know she feels something for me because we're soulmates, that affects both of us. She already knows I love her, but she keeps locking me out and implying that the love she feels is still hatred.
As soon as I reached her door I knocked quietly and waited. When no answer came I knocked again, still no answer. I openned the door quietly incase she's sleeping but no one was even in the room. I tried the bathroom but she wasn't there either. I started panicing and yelling out to Robert to help me find her. I tried finding her with our mind link but until she finds hers and accepts me as her soulmate I cannot hear or find her in the protected rooms, which is where she is now. I'm sure because I can't feel her. I followed her scent left, and right, and diagonal but I couldn't find her, her scent stopped close to the library so i'm hoping that's where she is.
"Let's try the library, she was there last time." I said to Robert as we reached the library door. I have a strong feeling she's in here, let's hope i'm right.
Lily's POV
The library door slammed open violently awaking me from my slumber. I heard foot steps then voices came.
"Lily, are you in here?" Alex's paniced voice came. Crap, I didn't even stop to think about what he would think when he found my room empty. I had a very quick internal debate over whether or not to speak up but the paniced voice of Alex made my decision.
"Alex? I'm over here." I said, standing up and walking out of my corner. As soon as he heard me and spotted me he ran over in his vampire speed, pulling me into a hug. When he let go of me and stepped back I saw the relief on his face quickly change to frustration.
"What on earth were you doing? I'm taking you back to your room." he said through clenched teeth.
"Alex wait-"
