Chapter 5: Shopping Spree

"Compromise, prompromise," I scoffed and turned away.

"Prompromise?" he laughed.

"yes, it rhymes with compromise," I crossed my arms over my chest and turned away from Alex.

"Yes, it does. But it isn't a word Lily,"

"It could be," I said stubbornly.

"Could be, but isn't," he sat down right in front of me so I can see his smirk as he teases me.

"Screw you."

"Please do," he winked and chuckled.

"Ew, perv."

"I'm only teasing you Lily, I love it when you blush." he reached out to stroke my face but I turned away.

"So are you agreeing to the compromise?"

"What can I buy?"

"Anything and everything you want."

"Freedom?"

"No Lily," he replied, shaking his head.

"You said anything," I huffed. "Where would we go shopping?"

"Some where, I don't know."

"Huge help." I scoffed, trying not to smile.

"What do you say?"

"Where would you take me for a date?"

"It's a surprise." I rolled my eyes at how cliche he's being.

"Give me a minute to think," I said, telling him with my eyes to get out. I don't think he caught the drift because he just sat there looking at me.

"Get out."

"What?"

"I need to think, now get out." I pointed to the door and glared at him.

"Fine, i'll be back later." and with that he left. Thank the lord.

Alex left ages ago and I still haven't made a decision. Sure I really want to go shopping, get some entertainment and posters, i could get guitars, new music books, dvds and cds and loads of stuff! But do I really want to go on a date with him...... I don't really know the answer for that but I guess it won't be too bad, so long as he doesn't try anything. Maybe i can make him take me to the mall near my house, Then maybe i'll see mariah, or jake, or Jimmy or anyone familiar! Hell to the yeah!!

A loud knock on the door made me jump a foot in the air which made me fall on the floor as I was lying on the edge of my bed.

"Fuck," I mumbled under my breathe.

"Lily, are you ok?" I felt Alex lifting me off the floor and laying me back down on the bed.

"Yeah, i'm good." I sat up and strethched, then laughed a bit at my stupidity.

"What's funny?"

"I fell off the bed," Hard as I tried I couldn't stop the giggles.

"Only you Lily," he said, shaking his head but fighting a smile anyway. "Do you have an answer for me yet?"

"Yeah, i have an answer for you,"

"What answer is that?"

"I will agree to the compromise IF you take me shopping at the mall near my house, deal?" I saw him tense up and clench his knuckles.

"Lily, I swear to god if you try to run-"

"I won't run, I promise. I just want to be somewhere familiar, and maybe see some familiar faces, i'll wear a wig if I have to so no one will recognise me. Just please?" My eyes started to water and I tried to fight back small tears.
