Author's Note: So hey this is The Locket i hope you guys really like it. All of my friends have been liking it so I thought why not see what others think so here is my story!
Picture is of Kayla!
I stand in the big corridor of the boarding school that I had been accepted to for my talent, out of hundreds only twelve teens were chosen for the program. Six boys and six girls. It would be nice to get away from Hollywood, and all the people trying to take your picture for some magazine that thousands of teens would read, all for money. People in Hollywood that weren't famous wanted to see how the rich and famous kid messed up. I never understood why everyone was so interested in people like me, it seemed to me like a huge waste of time.I couldn't help that my mom was a famous actress who thousands of people wanted to know about, and my dad was a best-selling author right now for teens. So of course when they got in a divorce the whole world knew that, ever since I was ten. So I would for one week be at my mother's penthouse then the next at my dad's penthouse right across from my mom's. Where we lived was beautiful and expensive right on the Hollywood hills. It was kind of nice for me because my dad wasn't two hours away or all the way in China, I was luckier than most kids who had divorced parents.
" Kayla it seems like it's time for me to go sweetheart." My mom smiled. I smiled back, I missed her already. I took another mental picture of her of her green eyes that reminded me of the foaming mist at the end of the ocean when the waves would roll up to shore, her hour glass figure that looked beautiful in any piece of clothing, and her blond hair that was curled so it landed on her shoulders.
"'Mom I miss you already! I'll text you as much as I can to keep you updated on how I'm doing." I said. She nodded and hugged me real tight one last time. She waved as she closed the door behind her; the English teacher turned, and looked at me with a smile.
"Hi, I'm Miss Blare, it seems as if you're the last one to join. I read your portfolio it's amazing! You know how to play nine different instruments, can sing, and act!" she exclaimed. I nodded. We walked down a hall toward a stair case that lead up to four doors. "Ok these are the girls' bed rooms, let me show you to your room."
"'Kay," I whispered. We walked up the stairs to the hall; she stopped at the front of the second door and pulled a key out of her cute little brown cardigain which just so happened to match her glasses. I smiled at my random thought as she opened the door, handing me the key and writing my name on a white board attached to the door with Fiona already written across the top. "So here is your key to your room and Fiona is a very nice girl so you should have no problem making friends with her. Well classes start tomorrow, and you've got your schedule and of course it's the same as everyone else's because we're such a small school. 'Kay? Well I hope you enjoy your first day!" she smiled, flashing me a row of pearly white teeth.
"Thanks," I nod. I walked into the room where to beds were, one side was colorful and full of drawings and paintings. I walked to the other bed and set my stuff down. A girl with red hair looked up at me from painting her toe nails neon green.
"Hi! You must be Kayla! I'm Fiona, I came from Ireland." She said with an Irish accent.
"Hi Fiona, I'm from Hollywood." I smile. She nods her red hair flying everywhere her baby blue eyes look at me.
