Author's Note: Picture is of Chase!
Beep! Beep! Beep! Click. I yawn and, wiping my eyes trying to remember happened the day before, and where I was. Suddenly, everything clicks, and I rememer, wicing as the familiar butterflies begin to cloud my stomach. I sigh, and walk over to my dresser pulling out a dark blue t-shirt and skinny jeans. I'm hopping around on one foot, trying to get the tight designer jeans over my butt when Fiona walks over to me with a huge smile on her face.I couldn't blame her; she had never been t a special school like this one let alone one that specialized in arts. Unlike me who had gone to a performing arts school in Hollywood . I fake a smile, still struggling to get my jeans on, but her eyes narrow as sees right through my little act, she knows that I'm still worried about the whole Chase situation .
"Don't worry you'll be fine. He probably doesn't even remember you or the whole thing between your moms." She smiled. I nodded and felt my stomach do a flip from butterfly's inside. I felt sick and probably looked it, but I put on another fake smile for her so she wouldn't worry. She rolls her eyes at me and grabbed my hand dragging me to our class.
"Our class room don't change, but our teachers do," she huffs, obviously still irritated that i didn' take her advice in not worrying
"'That won't be too bad, don't have to move too much," I shrugged.
"That's how my classes where in Ireland same class room different teacher I come from a small town so it's no big deal to me I guess."
"That makes sense. So do you have any brothers or sisters?" I ask. She shook her head.
"I had a brother Collin, but he died from the war. So I got all of his savings now that I'm the only child and I don't have him anymore, they try to make me happy as much as they can. I really miss him, he was my best friend." She says with a small frown. I see a wave of sadness in her baby blue eyes, but it dissapears as fast as it came."But enough with the sad and on the with the happy." she says with a giggle.
"Right!" I laugh. She and I walk down the hall to the class room that says study hall. We turn into the room. All of the desks have cute little nametags on them to show us where we are sitting.
"Kayla you and I sit next to each other!" Fiona shrieked pointing to two desks in the front. I smile at her. "Yeah this is going to be great you and are going to be elbow partners."
"I can't wait to meet our math teacher!" I smile. His name is Mr. Reflow and everyone says that he's really cool. She nods, but her smile disappears.
"What?" I ask. She points to the desk next to me, which I hadn't noticed before. I turn to the desk and notice the name tag that says on the front in bold letters Chase. This time, the s is the right way. I turn back to her, with wide eyes.
"No way!" I cry.
"That's your elbow partner." She says. I felt sick again, ears pounding and my turning cartwheels. "You, Okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine I guess." I say with a weak smile.
"You don't look okay, maybe you should go to the nurse's office,"
"No! I can't I need to be here so I don't make a bad impression on the first day." I say shaking my head. She nods.
"You got a point there!" she laughs. "Remember, "Enough of the sad and on with the happy"; a quote from my mom. She always told me that whenever I was sad about something it really helped me when my brother died,"
