 2 weeks had passed Daniel seemed distant so I didn't see much my dad had insisted that I needed body guards so someone was always following me in the car beside that school was boring I saw Daniel in my class but he seemed to be thinking most of the day Jesse hadn't come I'm guessing he stayed with Allison when the school day ended I went home it was raining today it was a gloomy day 

I was walking to my car I saw Blake about to get in his car  I smirked I got in pulled out of the parking lot I knew he was behind me as soon as the light turn green I speed off he tried to keep up with me till I made a sharp turn he wasn't expecting 

I lost him I just wanted to think for bit I didn't want to be followed I wasn't 5 I didn't need a baby sister

I made my way up to the place Daniel and I usually went it was raining I could see the water as it hit the beach I loved this place it was nice and quiet my phone rang and rang I just ignored it I let 30 minutes pass then got in my car and left

I got in through the gates the guy's motorcycles we're there weird 

I got out of my car went inside the guys all looked at me I smiled

"Hey, what are all of you doing here?" I pointed at them Daniel stood up

"Your dad told us to come he need to talk with us" I knew my eyes had gone wide

"About?" I was curious I needed to know

"Sorry guys that I kept you waiting for Lexi" He looked up from his phone "Is here, stop ditching Blake"

"Then tell him to stay away"

"Lexi I tried to talk to you about it guys we will talk in my office" They got up I held onto Daniel's arm I got close

"Whatever he says to you don't believe him"

"We will be fine and we need to talk about Edward I'll see you after this I'll see you in your room" He smiled walked in with the guys I was nervous I ran up to my room

What could they be talking about? I paced back and forth in my bedroom thunder roared outside I closed my patio doors about 30 minutes later there was a knock at my door I ran over to my bed sat down, play cool

"Come in," in a bad British accent way to play it cool Lexi the door opened Daniel walked in closed the door behind him "Where are the guys?"

"They are downstairs I just need to talk to you by myself"

"Okay, one you're scaring me and two before anything what did my dad tell you?

"Don't worry about it"

"No, I have to because my dad told me something that gets me nervous so what is it?"

 "We were just talking about Allison" Something seemed off I doubt they we're talking about Allison

"About the Edward thing, you can't ditch Blake anymore"

"Ohh no my dad got you to agree with him on that I'm not 5 I don't need a babysitter"He laughed

"I know you're aren't 5 but Edward isn't someone to give up easily he fucked up he didn't kill you and he will come back when? Who knows? But he will come back"

"Then the first thing on the priority list is Allison"

"Lexi just listen what I am about to do isn't gonna be easy"I was confused I stood up got close to him

"Daniel what isn't going to be easy" he looked me in the eyes now I grabbed his hand they were shaking he took a deep breath 

"Your dad is right I can't put you in harms way I didn't it once and I can't let Edward lay his hands on you last time he didn't do anything to you but this time he could and I can't ive with myself knowing that he will hurt you you need to get away from me so it's better if we both go our own way Lexi"

I looked at Daniel in disbelief "What?"

"Your dad's right all I'm doing is putting you in harm's way"

"No" I felt a tear go down my face "he isn't...I know he isn't"

"Lexi, it's better if we leave things here" He let go of my hand I blinked a couple of times

"Daniel please don't, don't do what everyone one else does"

"I'm just trying to protect you, Lexi, why don't you understand that?"

"Because I don't want to, I don't need your protection I just need"He wouldn't look me in the eye 

"You" I whispered another tear ran down my face

"I'm sorry it's best even if you don't see it"He turned around walked down the stairs, I followed him I was halfway down when he walked out of the house I was just about to walk out of the house when I got turned around 

"Lexi enough you won't see him again" I was pissed off and he was only making it worse

"That's for me to decide, I have to go after him"I pulled my arm back I walked outside it was raining so know I was wet I heard their bikes slowly fade away I ran back inside pushing my wet hair back I was looking for my keys

"Where are my keys?"I was frustrated looking for them

"I have them"I turned to face my dad my mother was behind him I could see Ben and Samantha we're on the couch watching 

"You're not going after Daniel, Lexiane snap out of it"He came close shook me "He's not worth you getting hurt

"I moved his hands from my should those same words I looked at him in disbelief

"You!"I pointed at him "You told him to stay away this is you fault"

"No Lexi, I didn't tell him anything, unlike he understands that he can't put you in danger"

"NO!!! he said the exact same words"I was full on crying now "Forget you have a daughter I'm leaving"

I took a breath "I hate you dad, I really do"

I ran up the stairs I whipped tears away someone opened the door to my room

"Lexi"

"Stay out of this Ben"

"I'm not gonna let you just leave you are still my sister" He turned me around "Is he really worth you dying?"

"Yes, he is"I pushed his arm away "Is getting dad's fortune really worth keeping Luis a secret for the rest of your life?"

I looked down "Exactly my point"

I grabbed random things shoved them in a backpack I turned and Ben was still standing there 

"Don't let him run your life Ben that's what's not worth it"I walked out Samantha was standing near the staircase

"You're going to regret it for the rest of your life Lexi"

"And you're going to regret growing old and bitter" I walked down the steps both my parents were there my dad was hugging my mom

"Lexi where are you going? Everything you have I gave to you, your car's, phone, credit cards, and everything else"

"You think that gonna stop me" I challenged him I laided my phone on the table alongside with the credit cards "I'm not Samantha I can live without all these things and I can live without either of you we've done fine the 16 birthday I'm sure I can survive"

"Lexi" My mom finally said something

"I.Don't.Need.You."I came close to my father I walked towards the door

"Adam do something"My mom screamed I walked

"I can't"It was the last thing I heard him say I walked through the gate I walked for about 30 minutes under the rain I knew I was gonna get sick but I didn't care I was on my own and I was perfectly fine with it 

I walked for a bit more till I found a payphone I put in quarters looked for a piece of paper in my wallet I pressed each number

"Hello" His voice sounded it rough 

"Edward? Does your deal still stand?"
