Christmas

The last 2 weeks we're different I had done many more things with my parents Ben and I had spent more time together and Samantha and I still weren't getting along I tried to avoid her

Today was Christmas Eve my whole family had to get dressed up and I didn't get it why do we dress up just so we can walk around the living room it's like Thanksgiving

I walked downstairs in my white dress, my leather jacket and my white converse this was the best I was gonna look for tonight I sat on the couch with my family we kinda just sat there awkwardly we were watching tv I was playing a game on my phone we'd never really spend Christmas together it was usually my mom and dad we're usually in some other country, Ben was with his friends getting drunk, and Samantha was probably in a guys bedroom, as I would be in the house by myself

It was awkward all silent

"So Lexi how's Daniel?"

"He's good" He nodded at my mom

"Yeah...that's good" Then it went back to being quiet

When it finally was 12 I was grateful, we all got to open gifts

Ben got 3 customized Rolex one from my mom one from my dad and the other from Samantha and me, Samantha got a full paid trip to Rome and Italy, my mother also got a full paid trip but to Paris and Italy, and my dad got a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro a classic, and I got a thousand dollars great more money when we finished I was about to head upstairs when the doorbell rung

I walked over to the door Daniel stood there smiling with a box in his hand

"What are you doing here?Why aren't you at home with your family?"

"Because Ben said to come cause as he said and I quote 'you looked like a lost puppy sitting on the couch' by the way you look amazing in that white dress it fits you perfect"

"Thank you" He winked

"Well I also came because it Christmas and I wanted to kiss you but I also bought you a gift"

Daniel gave me the box with a bow

"You didn't have to get me anything"

"I think you'll reconsider once you see what's in it"

"I don't care what's in it I'm sure I'll love it either way"I got close to him kissed him quickly stepped back

"Go on open it" I guess I was taking too long we stepped outside and I closed the door behind me

"Maybe you should open it you seem really excited"

"Haha go on I want to see you face"

"You see it all the time babe"

"Shut up and open the damn box" I smiled at him I undid the bow I grabbed the lid opened it a bit then closed it again

"I think I'll just open it later"

"Women open the fucking box!!"I laughed

"I'm messing with you I love messing with you"He rolled his eyes I opened the box lifted the lid I took off the wrapping paper I was surprised I knew my eyes got watery I looked up at him he had his arms crossed he was biting his bottom lip "You...got me...this"

I looked down then back up at him

"Do you like it?"I nodded

"How can I not? You knew exactly what to get me"I took the gift out of the box

"You have no idea how long it took me to find it I talked to your mom about it so it would have the same thing"I got close hugged him

"I love it and I love you"I stepped back
