Waiting~Kai Fluff/Slight Angst-Requested

You've been waiting for Jongin for an hour now. He was suppose to meet you at your favourite café, but once again he was late. You understood though. Jongin was busy lately, with EXO's comeback and all. Jongin would spend extra hours at the practice room, making sure he got every move right. Jongin was a perfectionist when it came to his career. Your relationship on the other hand was another story.

Jongin tried to make your relationship work, and really that's all that mattered to you. You could tell that Jongin tried to make your relationship with him work, and you were really grateful for that because most people would've given up by now. Jongin though he kept trying, just like you kept trying to make it work. For the most part your relationship was great. The only thing that you wished was better was how much time you actually got to spend with Jongin.

For the year and half that you guys have been dating, you only got to see him maybe five times a month. That's if your lucky, and it would only be for about half of the day probably less. Needless to say, you missed him. Both of you really haven't had a chance to have an actual date. The "dates" that you guys did have were of him showing up maybe two hours late, and then just grabbing a snack from the convenience store before he walked you home.

You really didn't cherish the time that he spent with you, because you knew he was making time for you. That made you fall for him even more. You could tell that he cared about you.

You were drawn out of your thoughts when you felt someone wrap their arms around your waist. "Y/N I'm so sorry that I'm late. Our dance practice went longer than we expected it to be." Jongin mumbled into your neck. You smiled and turned around in his arms. "It's okay Jongin. I'm not mad. I understand that you're busy. I'm just happy you took time out of your busy schedule to see me." You told him as you cupped his cheek.

Jongin closed his eyes and sighed in content. "I always want to see you y/n. You're on my mind so much." He told you as he opened his eyes to look at you. You blushed and playfully hit his chest. "Shut up you cheese ball." You mumbled as you cuddled into his chest. You felt Jongin tighten his arms around you, and you smiled at the action.

Suddenly you remember that you two were out in public. You quickly pulled away from Jongin causing him to look at you with confusion. "We're in public." You mumbled as you looked down towards the ground. "Someone might see us. Your company said we could be together as long as we didn't get caught." You said as you looked up at him.

Jongin frowned slightly "Yeah, I remember what they told us. I just wish we could be openly expressive about loving each other." He mumbled to you. You smiled at him sadly. "I know I wish that too, but I don't want to jeopardize your future." You told him as you looked around. There wasn't really anyone outside at this time of night, but you just wanted to be safe. Better to be safe than sorry.

Jongin sighed as he ran his hand through his hair. "You won't jeopardize anything y/n. I just want to be with you openly. Without having to hide how much I care about and love you." He said as he walked up to you. You smiled at what he said. "Trust me, I know how you feel. I feel the same way, but your company won't let us be out in the open yet." You mentioned as you looked up at him. "We should probably go somewhere more private." You told him as you grabbed his hand leading him back to your apartment.

Jongin bit his lip and stopped walking. "I-I can't go to your place. I have to head back, Suho told me I have to be back tonight so we can all go over our dance and our song." He told you as he slipped his hand out of yours. "O-Oh I didn't know. I guess you should head back soon then." You told him softly. Jongin walked towards you. "Y/N please. I'm sorry." You turned and smiled at him. "Jongin it's okay. I know what I signed up for when I fell in love with you." You told him as you walked towards him. "I just wish that for one whole day and night, I could have you all to myself." You mumbled as you looked up at the sky. The stars always memorized you, they shined so brightly every night.

Jongin wrapped his arms around your waist. "I wish that too y/n. Our comeback will be over soon, then hopefully I'll have some more free time to spend with you." He told you as he kissed your cheek. You smiled softly. Part of you wanted to believe him, but he told you this all the time. He always ended up being busier than he thought he would be. You didn't blame him though. You knew being an idol was hard. "Yeah hopefully one day soon I can have you all to myself." You whispered as you put your hands over his.

You both looked up at the night sky. "I should start heading back to the dorm y/n." He told you as he pulled away from you. You turned to look at him. "Okay, hopefully I'll see you soon." You told him as you leaned up to kiss him on the lips. He smiled and looked down at you. "I really do hope we can have our day together soon." He said as he started to walk away. "Me too!" You told him. You waved at him until he was out of your sight.

You sighed and looked up at the sky. "Me too." You mumbled.
