Three years. That's how long you've stayed with Yonnguk. You've been marriaged to him for three years.
The marriage was still as broken as ever, you've learned to live with it.
Yongguk was now on a week long mission. You hadn't been able to contact him for the past three days.
You needed to speak with him urgently, but you knew he was ignoring your calls.
You sighed as you paced back and forth in the waiting room. Yongguk's father had been ambushed by a rival gang and he's been in critical condition for the last three days.
You spent as long as you could with him, only leaving when he was asleep to try and call Yongguk.
You bit your lip and dialed Youngjae's number. You weren't sure if he would pick up either, but you were running out of options.
Your breath hitched when you heard a voice on the other end.
"Y/N? Why are you calling me? First you've been blowing up Yongguk hyung's phone and now mine. This better be important." Youngjae stated.
You rolled your eyes. So Yongguk did see your calls. "Well if someone would bother answer their fucking phone, I wouldn't have to keep calling." You sighed.
"Its Yongguk's father." You murmured.
"What? What happened?" Youngjae asked.
"H-He was ambushed by one of your rival gangs. He's been in the hospital for the past three days. I tried calling you guys but none of you would answer. The-The doctors don't know if he's going to make it." You said as a couple tears fell down your face.
"Please let Yongguk know. He hasn't been answering my calls. He should come back. I don't know how long his father has left."
Youngjae's voice hitched. "Yongguk!" He called out causing you to pull the phone away from your ear.
You could hear mumbling in the background, and then the voices became more clear the closer they got to the phone.
"We need to head back home. Yongguk it's your father. He was ambushed by a rival gang. He's in the hospital but they don't know if he'll make it. Y/N's been with him the whole time." Youngjae stated.
You didn't know if you should hang up the phone or keep listening. You decided on the lather.
You could hear Yongguk's voice.
"What? My dad? We need to leave immediately. How did you know about my father Youngjae?" He asked him.
"Y/N called. She told me that none of us, especially you have been answering her calls." Youngjae said softly.
"Oh. Shit I knew something was off. She only really calls twice a day then gives up. I should've known when she kept calling that something was wrong." Yongguk said.
You rolled your eyes. "Yeah you should've answered." You said outloud. Your eyes widened when you realized you said your thoughts out loud.
"Y/N? Are you still on the phone?" Youngjae asked.
"J-Just get here as soon as you can." You told them as you hung up the phone.
As you walked back into the hospital room, you found Yongguk's father staring at the ceiling.
"Mr. Bang! Oh my gosh! Can I get you anything? Water? A nurse maybe?" You asked as you rushed over to him.
He chuckled. "I'm okay Y/N I don't need to much right now. I'm just in a lot of pain." He winced.
You nodded and slowly sat down in the chair beside the bed. "Yongguk should be here within the day. I've been trying to call him, but he never picked up my calls. Like usual." You mumbled the last part under your breath.
Mr. Bang raised an eyebrow. "How is my son treating you Y/N?"
The question caught you off guard. "I-uh fine sir." You told him softly.
Mr Bang hummed out. "Now why do I get the feeling you're lying? I know my son. He's hardly ever treated any woman right. Not after his mom left when he was a teenager. He's always kept them at arms length. Never letting them get close."
Your eyes widened. Yongguk hardly ever talked about his mom. Now you knew why.
You looked down at your lap. "Honestly, I'm tired. Our marriage isn't even a happy one. I love him with all of my being, but I know he doesn't care about me, and it breaks my heart." You whispered out as a few tears fell down your face.
Mr. Bang sighed. "My son was never really good at letting people in. I'm so sorry you have to go through this darling."
You gave a weak smile through your tears. "It's Okay. I've been handling it for three years. I just don't know if I can handle anymore."
Mr Bang nodded in understanding. "You know, when the two of you were younger, I always hoped that you would get married to each other. If it's like this though, you need to put yourself first. Your happiness is important too."
Just as you were about to answer someone came bursting in through the door. "Dad! Dad, are you okay?"
Yongguk came rushing over to his dad. Mr Bang gave him a weak smile. "I'm fine son. How did you get here so fast?"
"Private jet comes in handy." Yongguk breathed. You smiled and slowly stood up.
"I'll give you guys some space." You said softly as you bowed. "Thank you Mr. Bang for saying all those things, it puts my heart at ease a little." You smiled as you turned around.
"Y/N wait. I think Yongguk needs to hear something from me. I want you present though." Mr Bang said.
Your heart stopped. As you slowly made your way back into the room.
" Yongguk. How's your marriage going?" His father asked him.
Yongguk stiffened. "I-it's going good." He responded.
"Oh? That's not what I've heard. Did you know y/n was thinking about leaving?" Your eyes widened.
"M-Mr. Bang! Please I-I don't think we should be having this conversation right now. We need to focus on your health." You said as you avoided Yongguk's gaze that you knew was on you.
"You want to leave y/n?" Yongguk asked softly.
You looked up at Yongguk for the first time he came into the hospital room.
"Can you blame me?
