Unhappy Marriage Part 4~Yongguk Angst

It hurt to say that to Yongguk, but it was the truth. You didn't know if you wanted to stay anymore. He's hurt you so many times.

You stared at the ground. You could feel Yongguk's stare on you. You bit your lip.

"Guk. Let's not do this right now. You're here for your father. I don't want to have this conversation right now." You breathed out. "Look I'm gonna give you guys some space. Mr. Bang if you need anything I'll be right outside the door."

You smiled at Mr. Bang as you stood up and left the room to give them some space.

As you closed the door you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding. 'Why did Mr. Bang have to bring that up? I'm not ready to have that talk with Yongguk yet.' You thought as you slid down against the wall.

You brought your knees up to your chest and rested your head against your knees.

You must've fallen asleep because the next thing you knew you were being waken up by Himchan.

"C'mon Y/N it's time to get up. Yongguk wants to head back to the house." Himchan told you softly.

You shook your head. "I-I'm staying here. I already told the nurses and doctors that I wasn't leaving Mr. Bang until he gets discharged. They're letting me stay." You told him as you stood up.

As you stood up, you saw the same woman you saw that night you followed Yongguk come out of Mr. Bang's room. You stiffened as you saw Yongguk come out after her, with his hand on the small of her back.

"Besides I wouldn't want to impose on Yongguk and his mistress." You spit out as you made your way into Mr. Bang's room.

As you walked by you made eye contact with Yongguk.

"Y/N, I see Himchan has woken you. We should start heading back home. C'mon." Yongguk told you softly.

You rolled your eyes. "Already told Himchan I'm staying here. Have a good night Yongguk." You told him as you went into the room and shut the door leaving a speechless Yongguk behind.

You quickly wiped your eyes, as you sat down in the chair next to a sleeping Mr. Bang.

'I'm so stupid. I can't do this anymore.' You thought as you curled up in the chair and started to fall asleep.

The next couple days went by in a blur. Yongguk always showed up with that mysterious woman, but you never stayed in the room when they were there.

Until one day it was only Yongguk that showed up. He got a call from the doctors saying that Mr. Bang wasn't doing very well.

You didn't have time to call him because you stayed by Mr. Bang's side the whole time, with tears falling down your face. He was like a second father to you. Seeing him like this broke you. He was always there for you when your father passed away.

To an extent he was the glue that was keeping your relationship with Yongguk together too. Mr. Bang meant so much to you. You didn't want to lose him.

Yongguk came rushing into the room. "Dad! Are you Okay? What's going on?" Yongguk asked frantically.

You stayed silent squeezing Mr. Bang's hand tightly.

Mr. Bang smiled softly. "I think it's my time, son." He said softly. "I'm leaving everything I have to you. You're going to have to run everything now." He told him.

Mr. Bang looked over at you. "Y/N sweetheart. I want you to know, that even though I love my son so much, if you need to leave I'll understand. I want you to be happy. You deserve to be happy sweetheart. Don't feel like you have to stay because I want you two to be together. You're happiness is most important." He told you softly as he squeezed your hand softly.

You burst out crying as you heard what he told you. You rested your head against the bed as you cried your heart out.

"P-Please don't go. I can't lose you too." You hiccuped. Mr. Bang smiled. "I'm sorry sweetheart. I can't fight anymore. It's my time."

You cried harder as you heard the monitor flatline as Mr. Bang closed his eyes.

Doctors rushed in. Pushing Yongguk and you out of the room to try and save Mr. Bang.

You knew it was to late though. He was gone. You looked up at Yongguk through your eyelashes to see how he was doing.

Your eyes widened a bit. He looked broken. The only other time you saw him like this was when he lost his mother.

You hesitantly grabbed Yongguk's hand. He looked down at both your hands in surprise.

"Don't." You whispered softly. "Don't pretend you're okay Guk. You don't have to do that right now." You told him as you squeezed his hand.

What you didn't expect was for Yongguk to pull you into his arms and cry on your shoulder.

You hesitantly ran your fingers through his hair as he cried on your shoulder. Tears ran down your cheeks as well.

He was gone. You both lost someone special to you that day. A part of you hoped that it would help you guys get closer. But oh boy were you wrong.

As the months went by, that woman came over more often than not. You always made some excuse to leave the house whenever she was around.

You didn't like her. Yongguk always smiled when he was around her. And it hurt you.

You sighed as you pulled up to an office. You smiled as you saw a familiar face.

"Here. I have everything in this envelope. All you need to do is sign it. Along with Yongguk's signature as well." He told you as he handed you the envelop to you.

You smiled sadly. "Thanks Jae. I really appreciate this." You told him softly as you took the envelop.

Jaebum smiled at you softly. "What are friends for?" He joked softly.

You smiled and got back into your car. As you drove off you waved at him once more.

The drive home was left with you thinking about a lot of things.

As you pulled up to the house, you saw the woman leaving. You sighed and got out of the car.

You ignored her as you walked up to the front door. Tightly clenching the envelop in your hand.

As you walked into the house, you found Yongguk at the kitchen table drinking some coffee in his silk robe.

You dropped the envelop in front of him. He looked up in surprise then in confusion.

"What's this?" He asked as he held it up.

You bit your lip as tears welled up in your eyes. "I want a divorce Yongguk." You told him.

Yongguk's eyes widened. "A-A divorce? You want a divorce?" He asked softly.

You nodded.
