Time~Zico~Part Two

Turns out he took all the time in the world. A year later and he was still dating his girlfriend.

You didnt know why you let yourself believe what he had told you.

Over the course of the year you had waited patiently for Zico to come to you, but he never did.

He was happily dating Yoona. As the months went by you slowly started to lose hope.

As you sat in your bedroom finishing up a report for one of your classes you heard a knock on your door.

Confused you slowly stood up from your desk. It was around midnight, who would show up at this time of night?

You slowly opened your door. Your eyes immediately widened. It was Yoona.

"So apparently you're in love with my boyfriend?" She said with an icy tone.

You frowned. "What?"

"Jiho told me that you confessed your feelings to him."

Your eyes widened. Betrayal. You could feel the betrayal in your heart. You couldn't believe that he would tell Yoona that.

You closed your eyes, and took a deep breath before opening them.

"Look Yoona, it may have been true a year ago when I confessed, but it's not the same anymore. My feelings for him aren't there anymore. They haven't been for awhile."

Yoona crossed her arms and scoffed.

You sighed. "You can believe me or not, but I haven't talked to Jiho in over three months. We grew apart over the year that's passed. I gave up my feelings for him because I knew he loved you."

Hearing yourself say those words made you come to the realization that he really did love Yoona. Why else would he stay with her this long after he told you that he would eventually break things off with her.

Yoona was about to say something when a voice interrupted her.

"Yoona! I told you that you shouldn't come see Y/N."

Jiho. You could recognize that voice anywhere.

You felt your body tense up as his steps came closer.

"Y/N I'm sorry I-"

"I can't believe you told her how I felt about you." You told him softly. "It was only supposed to be for you to hear."

"Y/N please-"

"No...No Jiho. I haven't talked to you in three months and this is how I get to talk to you? By trying to defend myself from your girlfriend because you told her something that was only supposed to be for your ears?"

"You-You told me that all you needed was some time to figure things out. Well I think a year is plenty of time to know what you want, and to me it seems pretty clear." You told him as you looked up to him finally meeting his eyes.

Tear rimmed your eyes as you stared at him. He still looked as handsome as ever.

Jiho swallowed nervously. "Look Y/N please just hear me out."

"I think I have your answer. Now if you'll excuse me I have a report I have to finish." You told them as you began to shut the door.

Yoona scoffed as she grabbed onto Jiho's arm. "C'mon babe, let's leave this loser to do her homework."

You laughed. "Well I'm sorry that I want an education and a career, and not mooch off of my boyfriend all my life." You smiled at her.

Yoona's eyes widened. "You bi-"

You slammed the door in her face before she could finish her sentence.

You locked the door and let out a breath. Leaning against the door you slid down to the floor.

Your heart was beating a mile minute.

You could hear retreating footsteps as you leaned against your door.

Emotionally drained is how you felt. You slowly got up and walked over to your desk to finish up your report.

Hopefully it would help you get your mind off of things for awhile.

It didnt last long though as your phone lit up.

It was a text from Jiho.

"Please Y/N. I know I made you wait for so long but...but I love both of you so much. I can't choose."

You felt tears rim your eyes again.

"You don't have to choose Jiho. Continue being happy with Yoona. I'm done waiting, I'll forget how I feel about you. So just continue being with her."

You texted back.

After a couple minutes your phone lit up once again.

"Y/N....I don't want you to forget how you feel about me."

Sudden anger coursed through your body.

"Then what the hell am i supposed to do then Jiho? Wait around while you're off with Yoona? That's low even for you. I'm not putting my feelings on the side just because you want me to. I'm. Moving. On. Jiho. Goodbye."

You angrily slammed your phone down on your desk.

How dare he? Asking you to continue to feel this heartbreak as he continues to date Yoona. He didn't care about how you felt. He just wanted you to be in love with him.

Another notification. You slowly picked up your phone. Not knowing if you wanted to look at the message or not.

Curiosity got the better of you and you looked.

"No, please. I can't lose you Y/N. I need you in my life. Look I know I'm a complete asshole but I honestly can't choose between either of you. I love both of you so much. I know I'm being selfish but I need you in my life. Please don't shut me out. I'm coming over, we need to talk."

Your eyes widened as you read the last little bit of the text. You immediately shot out of your chair to check the front door.

Locked. You let out a breath of relief. You did lock the door. As you started to head back towards your room you heard the click of the lock.

You spun around your eyes widened as you saw Jiho come through the door.

You mentally kicked yourself for giving him an extra key to your apartment.

"J-Jiho look I really really don't feel like talking right now. I've already said what I wanted to say. So please just leave." You stuttered out.

Jiho closed the door and slowly approached you. "Y/N please. I know I said that all I needed was time. I know that I've used more time than I should've to figure things out. You have to believe me when I say that I do love you though." He told you.

"I also still have feelings for Yoona too though. I don't want to break her heart either. I'm the bad guy either way in this situation. Either I hurt you or I hurt Yoona, and I don't want to do that to either of you. Neither of you deserve that."

You stared at him. "I've already been hurt Jiho. So there's no point in hurting her too. Just go back to her."

Jiho grimaced at your remark. "I-I never wanted to hurt you Y/N."

You took a deep breath. "Y-Yeah. Just please Jiho go. I don't think I'll be able to handle anymore."

Jiho looked at you. Sadness filled his eyes. He slowly walked up to you and hugged you tightly. "I-I really wish things were different Y/N I love you so much."

You gently pushed him away. "But I'm not the only one you love and she's waiting for you back home. Go Jiho. Please." You begged and tears fell down your face.

You kept your head down. You didn't see the tears that fell from Jiho's face as he left.

As soon as the door closed you fell to your knees. You hugged yourself as you bawled.

Jiho wasn't the only one who wished things were different.
