Chapter 9

Watching him perform is amazing. And the way the fans show love is incredible. I loved the atmosphere. I'm loving all of this.

He got of stage for an intermission. Sweat running down his forehead. I quickly grabbed a towel and water. I gave him the water while absorbing the sweat with a towel, off his face.

"You are incredible, I literally started crying" I say embarrassed.

"PUSSYO" I hear Hawk screaming from across the changing room. I finished up wiping Abel's sweat and threw the towel precisely at Hawk.

"It was emotional okay?" I say.

"I'm glad you liked it." He smiled, showing his bunny teeth.

"You want anything to eat Or whatever?" I ask kindly.

"No, but can you grab me that Hennessy flask I see from across the room? Please?"

"Thats alcohol" I said the obvious.

"No shit, I need something to loosen up my nerves" I obey, and grab the flask for him. Before passing it to him, I took a good gulp.

"It's time to get back on stage babe" I tell him. He gives me a peck on my lips and hops back on stage.

I watch him perform from back stage curtains, completely mesmerised. I wanted to be like him. I wanted to have a crowd of people loving what music I put out so they can relate or have fun listening to. I admired Abel. He is really shy and what he does out on stage, is totally out of his comfort zone.

"What are you" someone says from behind. I jump up, totally scared. I turn around to see Lamar.

"Allah, you scared me!" I hit his chest.

"So what are you?" He repeats him self. Both of us watching his performance while talking.

"What do you mean?" I ask, confused.

"Like what are you and Abel. I see you two and you guys act like a couple."

"Oh no, I don't think we're a couple. But I don't know what we are, but it doesn't bother me? As long as we're both happy" I say smiling, thinking about Abel.

"You know, he never liked a girl for a really long time. He isn't used to relationships. He's a person to be afraid to love. Y'all have to just put in effort or both of you might end up hurt" he says, I nod in response, still watching the performance.

"He's a good man, he's just lost. He was never treated right. The shit he went through, changed him as a person in all aspects of his life. He went through hell and back to get where he is now. I admire him" he continues.

"Me too" I smile. "Being totally honest, my life has been boring until I met you guys. I had no social life except for going club every once in a while. I live in a huge house alone. It scares me. One of my biggest fears is to die alone. Leave this world without a legacy, no children. I'm glad I met you guys though. You're the best thing that ever happened to me." I start tearing up, I hug Lamar. I wipe a tear away and out of nowhere it all turns into a group hug with the XO crew. We get into a circle and reach our hands out and start chanting XO.

Abel comes off stage. It was the end of the show. And honestly I wanted to go to the hotel and chill with the boys.

We all hopped in the car and drove off back to the Ritz. Once we got there, we raced to the boys' suite instead of mines and Abel's.

We all sat in the living room, in a circle.

"Ooo, me and Skye wrote a song the other day. Should we perform it" Abel says, out of nowhere. The whole room responds with a yes.

"Are you dumb? No one said I'm performing" I tell Abel.

"Oh come one, there's a grand piano right here, only this one time"

I hesitate. What's it going to hurt? Its only in front of the crew.. they heard me sing before?

"Fine, but someone record" I hand my phone to Hy.

I sat at the grand piano and took a deep breathe. Abel started with the base melody and I followed.

"Angel, oh oh oh oh
Knew you were special from the moment I saw you
I saw you, yeah
I said angel, oh oh oh oh
I feel you're closer every time I call you
I call you"

We switched lines so the our voices balance out on the song, making it sound perfect.

Once we finished everyone started clapping and whistling. I instantly started blushing. Abel wrapped his arm around my shoulder comforting me.

This tour really got my mind off of somethings that happened earlier the other day. I try not to think about the situation, quickly trying to occupy myself.

I got up to get my phone.

"I sent it to everyone" Hy said referring to the video, handing me my phone back.

We rewatched the video and honestly I loved it.

"That was so good" Lamar comments.

"Skye, I have an offer for you" Cash catches the attention from everyone.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Basically, you know the group 'banks'?" He asks.

"Yeah, of course I do" I reply.

"What the case is, they where the opening act for Abel, for the tour and they basically dropped out last minute... and I was wondering, if you would like to replace them. And you know become an opening act?" He asks

I hesitate and don't reply.

"Of course, I knew you might not want to do it at first. So I'll make a deal, how about you have your first performance in 3 days at our next show in Santa Barbara and if you don't want to do it again, you can call it off. So?" He asks again.

"Cash, that is an amazing opportunity. I always wished to perform in front a of a crowd. This is amazing. But, the thing is, I never performed in front of a crowd. Not a full blown performance. You get me?" I try explain myself.

"No, you'll sing a couple of songs. You've written a quiet a lot since we left for tour. Going everyday to the studio? We knew Skye! The producer sent us links. They where amazing. Why don't you perform those. We'll have the tracks ready for you by the time we're in Santa Barbara" Abel explains.

"I mean, there's no reason why I can decline" I say and the moment I finish I jump up and down in excitement, followed by the boys.

"Oh my God! My first performance? What are the fans going to think! They've seen me before, they know who I am! Will they like my singing? Will they like my music? Will they like m-" I get cut of by Abel pecking me on the lips and the room goes quiet.

"Stop being paranoid, you'll see when we get there" he says.

"Sorry boss"
