It was first mentioned in the year 565, a sailor having spotted the creature. Some believe that the Loch Ness Monster is a herbivore and may have been alive during the prehistoric times, itself being a dinosaur or a descendant of the dinosaurs. Some people who have seen it have said that it is not a shy creature and was out of the water for a good four or five minutes before it decided to disappear again.
