"Nara, what a pleasure to make your acquaintance once again. Mr. T and I here were just talking about you," Leon smiled, his gray eyes flickering with amusement. I could feel both Rhys' and our principal's presence behind me, both bewildered at the scene that rested before them.
"Really?" I asked, forcing a smile onto my face. "Why would I ever come up in a conversation between you two?"
"We were just talking about your remarkable academic recovery," he explained, his thin lips curled into a smirk.
"Ah. Leon, may I talk to you in private?" I hissed, a flash of annoyance flitting across my usually emotionless visage.
"Definitely," he grinned malevolently, turning his hard gaze towards Rhys. As we both walked out of the principal's office, he brushed against Rhys' shoulder a little to violently to be impersonal.
I led him to the familiar janitor's closet, opening the door in one swift movement and shoved him in.
"Leon, what the hell are you doing here?" I snapped as soon as the door slammed shut.
"Nara, I needed to talk to you," he told me, his eyes shifting from exuberant confidence to worried pleading in the matter of few seconds.
"I don't want to talk to you," I retorted, letting venom color my tone.
"Please babe," he asked, hurt evident in his eyes. His hands reached forward to brush against my own, sending familiar shudders through me.
"You lost the right to call me that the moment you left," I spat, moving my hands out of his reach.
"Please, Nara," he tried again, taking a small step towards me.
"No," I shook my head, opening the door to the janitor's closet once more, and stepping out.
