"That was fun," I grinned grabbing the red solo cup from Leon's hands.
"Careful, Nara," he warned, snatching the plastic cup away from me. It crumpled under his strong grip, causing the beer to slop onto the shined wooden floor. "You've already had three drinks."
"I'm fine," I laughed, stumbling a few steps closer to him. Now that he had mentioned it, I did feel the alcohol slosh within me nauseatingly, causing bile to rise up my throat. I cleared my throat and shook my head subtly, trying to get rid of the dizziness giving me a headache.
"We're going home," he sighed, wrapping a supporting arm around my waist and pulling me closer to him.
"No," I muttered, weakly pushing against his chest with my hands, panic augmenting my nausea. "We just got here."
"Nara, darling, there's a very thin line between freedom and desperation. You're crossing it," he whispered darkly into my ear, his arm a tightened coil of iron around my waist. My body was now crushed against his; our chests heaving against each other's in synchronization. My cheeks flushed as our breaths mingled and his lips brushed against mine softly. I groaned in confusion; I had kissed him before, what was different now? His eyes, I realized. The darkness churning within them were now completely focused on me.
I closed my eyes in defeat, recognizing that I was untrustworthy in my intoxicated state, and mumbled the dreaded words under my breath: "take me home."
