"So this is why you won't come back to me. You're with the golden boy," Leon fleered, his lips poised in a disgusted sneer. "I expected better from you, Nara."
Rhys looked at me, perplexed, but seeing the guilt churning in my eyes, realization dawned through his own. Nevertheless, he stood in front of me, still leaning against my car, almost protectively, as he sized up Leon.
"What do you want?" Rhys growled, his broad shoulders blocking my view of Leon's triumphant smirk. Deciding to stop the fight before it started, I gently pushed Rhys out of the way, and raised an uninterested eyebrow at Leon.

"It might be school property, but this will never be yours again. You lost that when you left," I muttered, letting me eyes harden into a glare. "You lost everything when you left."
Leon flinched under my ruthless glower, but composed himself enough to grab my arm tightly, pulling me towards him.
"I'll get everything back," he whispered into my ear, his nails digging into the soft skin of my arm.
"No," I snarled, ripping my arm free of his grasp. "No, you won't."
