Lio turned off the boom box she found in her old room in the house. She left the Hades
cabin, and went into the Apollo Cabin.
“Camp’s made some improvements,” Lio said, handing Will a smuggled soda. “Apparently we
now have a contraband… Look, I’m sorry. I may have overreacted.”
“What were you reacting to?” Will asked.
“I… I left- Well I sort of stole from the museum that mortals turned my house into,
because mortals think I killed both of my parents.”
“And did you?”
He “I killed my step dad. killed my mother.”
“And who did your mom kill?” Will scoffed.
“This isn’t funny, Will!” Lio exclaimed.
“I’m sorry.” Will said, suddenly sober. “I may not know how you feel, but I can understand
where you’re coming from.”
“You know, you’re actually pretty cool, Solace.”
“You too, Soul. Hey, your eye bandage is gone.” Will observed.
“I don’t need it. Without a bandage it shows that I can overcome weakness. It shows that I
don’t care what other people think.”
“Without a bandage it shows that your wound is infected,” Will scoffed.
“I can deal with that.”
“Yeah no. I can maybe deal with no bandage when indoors, but you have to keep your room
spotless. No dirt can get in the wound as it clearly already has. We probably will need to conduct
surgery. You still have part of your eye in the socket. That can cause delirium, and it can easily get
infected-”
“Will, I’m guessing you’re not giving me a choice, so you really don’t have to run this over by me.”
“Fair enough.”
“Just one question.”
“Yeah?”
“Why didn’t you do this when I was passed out?”
