It's 11 pm "You should go home" Shawn asks. "I don't want to go home. My dad hates me"
Shawn looks down "you can't just stay away from home, he will be worried"
"Okay, I'll go home, see ya tomorrow? Are we going to school together? Or not?" He nods "I will pick you up at 8 okay?"
"Okay"

"Shawn?"
"What?"
"Can't I stay here"
"You can, but your dad will be worried"
"I don't care" I point at my bruises and wounds "look what he did"
"Okay..."
I hug him "your the only friend I have. If we are friends" I ask
"I think we are" he says while he hugs me back
"You feel like my best friend already" he says
I smile
"I'll text my dad"
I take my phone
A: dad...
D: yes? I'm really sorry
A: can I stay here for the night
D: no. Of course not. He is a boy.
A: so what?
D: you are my daughter I need to protect you.
A: please
D: If you promise me that you two won't do strange things.
A: duh
D: I love you. I hope you know
A: bye

I lay my phone away and I look at Shawn. He is so nice.
"Is it okay?"
I smile "yes"
Shawn has a bed for two persons.
"Is it okay?"
I nod and lay down next to him.
"You can't sleep neither huh?" His voice surprises me. I laugh "no I can't" he turns on a little light and I see he's smiling. I laugh again. "We should sleep. It's your first schoolday tomorrow" I sigh "yes..."
I fall asleep and I don't know how long it took Shawn to fall asleep, but when he wakes me up next morning he seems super tired. "Goodmorning" I stand up "wanna have a shower?" I nod "yes please" Shawn cshows me the bathroom and gives me a towel.
"Thanks"
I take a shower and Shawn prepares breakfast.
When I'm finished we have breakfast
"Shit"
Shawn gives me a surprised look "what?"
"My schoolbag"
"What about your schoolbag?"
"It's at home"
"Go get it"
"But my dad..."
"I'll come with you"
I nod "okay thank you"

I ring the doorbell and Amanda opens the door. "I guess you need your bag?"
I nod "yeah" she smiles when she gives me the bag ugh she acts so innocent but she is a horrible person
2 minutes later she comes back with my bag and gives it to me "your dad is already at work. His first day."
"Okay"
Shawn stands next to me and smiles to Amanda "thank you" he lays his arm around me and we sit down in Karen's car. When we arrive at school Shawn is immediately surrounded by all his friends and evryone asks who I am. I blush "I'm sorry I've got to go to my locker." I walk away and open my locker. I put all my schoolstuff that I don't need in the locker and organize it "why did you walk away?"
I turn around and there is Shawn with another boy. "Because I had to go to my locker" Shawn smiles not believing what I'm saying.
"I'm Jeremy" I look at the boy next to Shawn. "Hey, I'm Ashley"
"We have maths first hour" says Jeremy "Shawn come sit next to me" he gives Shawn that bro hug. "Uhm..." he looks at me and opens his mouth to say something but Jeremy turns around and walks away "go sit next to that girl. She is waaay more important than me" Shawn smiles at me "it's okay you can sit next to me"
I nod "thank you"
When we arrive in class there is this girl called Stephany that walks to Shawn "hey baby" I blush omg what? Baby? I didn't know that
"Can you come over after school?" She comes super close to Shawn. Ok. Cute couple.
Shawn rolls his eyes "I'm not your baby, I'm not yours, and no I don't wanna come over after school" he pushes Stephany away from him and sits down "come sit here, next to me" he points the table next to him and looks at me. I sit down and Shawn smiles.
The whole day I sit next to Shawn but everyone ignores me. And more and more people start ignoring Shawn too.
After school, when we are waiting for Karen to come and pick us up, I say "you should stop talking to me" I look at the ground "everyone is ignoring you now"
He takes my face between his hands and looks me in the eyes. wow.
"Are you stupid?! I won't ever ignore you because of those fake friends!"
"They're not fake, and I can't go on like this. I'm the reason that you have no friends. You should go out with that girl. You know. I'm just a neighbor and I'm really sorry that I've done this to you. But it's okay if you don't want to be friends anymore"
He pulls me into a hug it feels so good to be in his strong arms
"I told you, you are my best friend and no one, you neither, can tell me to stop loving you.
Loving?
"Yes, loving."
"Did I say that out loud?"
"No but I know what you were thinking."
"But like friends right?"
He blushes "I'm not sure"
It's super cold but I feel warm, in a good way. I never loved a boy like this. He comes closer oh god
My first kiss? No this is not the right moment... "STOP!"
He jumps up "Huh?!"
"I'm sorry... I'm not ready for this"
"For what? I don't get it"
"I don't know. I think I'm hallucinating"
"Hahah it's okay" he kisses my forehead
"What do you want to do? Because I don't think you still want me to come at your house"
"Oh I'll go home, it's okay, you're right"
We hear Karen yelling "guys! I'm here!"
We walk to the car and sit both in the back of the car. Next to each other. He looks at my bruises "come at our home okay?"
"Why?"
"Uhm, okay, do what you want"
"I'll go home"

We arrive and both go home
"Hey" I see my dad sitting on the couch
I don't answer
"I said hey"
"Ok"
He stands up "you're brutal again?"
"No." I look down. Please don't please don't please don't.

his leg kicking me, I fall, I scream....
