A long way home {a Shawn Mendes fanfiction}

It's monday morning and I'm in my first class. Shawn is next to me and we work together. It's an annoying work-in-pairs task but with Shawn it's much better. Nash walks up to us "hey. I have no partner." We nod and I take a chair and put it next to me, Nash sits down and we start working. But I guess Nash looked more at me then at the work. Well, we're just friends so... I don't know.
The rest of the day I have no classes with Nash and only one class with Shawn. At the end of the day.
The day is long and boring and when the last class begins, Shawn waits for me at my locker. Our hands intertwine and we walk to our class, art.
The class comes to its end and I put my books in my locker and Shawn walks up to me "hey, are you ready to go home?" I nod and grab some books out of my locker to make my homework.
We make our way home and when we're home we eat a muffin and then we go to Shawn's room to make our homework. I start making my maths while Shawn starts the English homework. We work in silence for about 2 hours and I finished all my homework, maths, english, german and physics.
"Babe?" I look up and see Shawn struggling with maths.
"Yes?" I ask
"Did you finish?"
I nod "yeah, can I help you?"
I help Shawn and an hour later he finishes all his homework too, it's 7 PM and his parents aren't home yet. Aaliyah is in the living room. Shawn smirks "we have time to love now" I laugh while I push him on the bed and jump on him. "OUCH" he screams and lays down, he doesn't move anymore so I get off him "Shawn? Are you okay?" I come closer to his face "Shawn? Shawn!!" I almost cry "Shawn?!"
Then he opens his eyes and screams "JOKEEE" I scream harder and get up "HELP ME!!! Aaaaaaaaa" Shawn laughs and lifts me up "gottcha!" I smile and get out of his arms, I grab his face and kiss it "well thank you for giving me a heartattack I love you" I joke.
He lays down on the bed and I lay down next to him. We just lay there until we hear the door open "oh mom is home" Shawn stands up and fixes his hair "come Ash" I stand up and walk with Shawn. "Hey Shawn! Hey Ash! I'm sorry for being late but Shawn can you order some pizza for you, Ash and Aali? Mom and dad are going out" she winks "thank you" she says, without waiting for an answer, she grabs her bag and leaves. Shawn stumbles "uhm.. okay??" I laugh "I think you have to babysit tonight" Shawn rolls his eyes "I think YOU have to"
Aaliyah stands up and pushes Shawn "I'm not a baby! I can care for my own!"
I laugh even harder. Aaliyah is 10 and she is so fun.

Shawn acts like he falls down and lands on the couch. I sit on his lap and Aaliyah smirks "perfect couple" Shawn smiles at me and kisses me "perfect girl" he whispers. "Stop making me blush, Mendes!" He smiles and hugs me. I lay my forehead down on his' and whisper "perfect boy" Shawn blushes "pff.. stealing my words?"

Aaliyah interrupts Shawn "your words? I don't think so! I was the one saying 'perfect couple' remember?" Shawn looks confused "well sorry! " I laugh and Shawn kisses me on my forehead. Aaliyah rolls her eyes "that's enough! I will end up crying because no one kisses me!" she starts to fake cry "okay okay, what do you want to do?" Shawn asks her

Aaliyah thinks for a while "mhh... get me some pizza first I will think about it" Shawn looks at me and I nod "come on boy get us some pizza" Shawn nods and orders pizza. "and now?" Aaliyah thinks again. "you two go upstairs and leave me alone for 10 minutes" Shawn gives me a weird look and I stand up to go upstairs "no problem, I needed to talk to Shawn anyways" I take Shawn upstairs and sit down on the bed "we can't go on like this forever" He kisses me "like what baby?" "you know, at school, no one likes me, uhm, everyone hates me. I'm just not like you, you are popular and everyone wants you, you are amazing and you have friends... I don't" Shawn looks down "you will make friends soon I'm sure" "no Shawn, I won't, and you know that." now Shawn looks up at me and takes both my hands in his hands "baby, you will, I promise, come sit with us in the breaks, I'm sure my friends will like you" I feel even worse now "they are all popular Shawn, do they know that you even know me? They all hate me I swear Shawn they don't want me to be yours, they don't even want you to know me. And I know that you know that, because if you didn't know you would've told them." Shawn doesn't know what to say and then Aaliyah calls "PIZZAAAA!!!" I smile "it's okay Shawn, come let's have fun"
